with them being the only people within the fifty kilometers radius, they had a lot of space to cover and weren't worried about finding quests and animals to hunt.

As time passed, the two siblings started to level up and accumulate more and more strength and INBs.

After three days of constant grinding, Alex had collected enough money to buy two of the remaining four legendary items in the shop.

Practically everything he did was considered the first in history by the system.

Even when he finished a quest with an F difficulty rate as a test, the system rewarded him a hundred million.

Besides the two legendary items, Alex also bought a rare-grade long sword for himself and a wand for Emily.

At this stage of the game, items and equipment didn't give extra physical stats.

Alex was also sure that the sword was enough to kill a real person. Since they were still considerably low level and with their low stamina and therefore low health, they couldn't possibly handle the pain simulated by the nanobots in their brains.

But still, the nanobots were simply too little for the sword to be considered a real one.

'Now that I have these two items, I only have to find that person to give them to,' Alex had already planned what he would do with the four legendary items.

The two that he had just bought were the key to his guild's power. Now, even if the system noticed and fixed the bugs, Alex wouldn't get too sad. After all, with these two items, he was already one year ahead of others.

"that's enough for today, Emy; we can go back now," said Alex before turning around and walking in the direction of the house.

Emily followed him like a little rabbit, jumping instead of walking and singing the "baby shark" song as they were going back.

But suddenly, Alex stopped, and Emily bumped into him.

"ouch, why did you stop all of a sudden?" asked Emily as she rubbed her forehead.

"shhh," Alex put one hand on her mouth and shushed her before saying in a low voice, "there are some people in the house."

Emily immediately became serious and nodded her head in affirmation.

Alex closed his eyes and focused all his senses on the house. After a second, he heard two men talking with each other.

"it's a shame that there isn't anybody here to kill. We could have used an easy level up," Said man number one.

"don't be too greedy. We still found a good amount of food. We can report back to the boss and get a good reward," said the man number two.

Alex didn't know how they had found their house in the middle of nowhere, but he was sure that they had killed people to level up and knew about the hidden quest.

"Emily, go to the hiding spot we agreed on and stay there till I come to get you." Said Alex.

"but what about you? I can help; let me stay." Said Emily warily.

"no, it's still too early for you. I can take them on by myself. Just listen to your brother and do as I say." Said Alex.

He was sure that he could handle the two guys even if he had to protect Emily.

Hell, he was even sure that Emily herself could handle them.

But he didn't want his sister to see such violence up close. She was still too young and innocent. He didn't want her to enter the harsh reality of this chaotic world so soon.

As for just capturing those two and letting them leave, that was not an option.

Since they were killers, Alex wouldn't hesitate to kill them. He actually was looking for some good targets to activate the hidden quest, but he didn't want to kill innocent people. But killing killers wasn't a problem for him.

Emily just looked her brother in the eye, and after seeing his determination, she sighed and turned around to leave and said with a sad tone, "you better come get me, or I will never talk to you again."

Alex didn't know whether to laugh or cry at that silly remark, but he put his hand on his heart and said, "I promise, my little princess."

After he made sure that she was far enough, he took action and ran in the direction of the house.

With more than fifty points in agility, he was five times faster than the fastest human before the nanobot system.

The house door was wide open, and the two guys were talking with each other in the kitchen.

"how about we tell the boss about this place and use it as our secret hideout?" said the man number one

"Are you really that idiot, or are you just playing idiot? Boss clearly plans to go to the city to kill more people, so why would he settle in a place like this." Said the man number two

As they were arguing, Alex hid in a corner and listened to their conversation to get as much information as possible.

'so their boss still doesn't know about this place. That's a relief," thought Alex.

"But I love this place; it's so cozy." Said the man number one in a disappointed tone.

Alex decided to take action and just get the information he needed through investigation.

He ran out of his hiding spot and slashed his sword at the neck of the guy number two without even hesitating one second.

The sword went through the neck and only left a tiny scar. The hologram sword wasn't still capable of fully decapitating a person, but the man still died on the spot.

The nanobots in the man's body activated as the sword went through his neck and just simulated the feeling of decapitation, and the man's brain simply couldn't take it, so it shut down.

Soon a notification appeared in front of Alex.

"Leo," the guy number one shouted and was about to attack, but Alex was faster and went behind him and put the sword under his chin.

"you better start talking or else… or else I think you know what would happen." Said Alex from behind the man.
