That Day

One winter afternoon, a little girl was busy preparing a large cake that looked like a birthday cake, though it was a chaotic mess.

"Mom, will Dad like this?" the little girl asked.

Her mother, who was busy preparing pasta and salad, turned and observed the cake covered in uneven chocolate frosting, resembling a rocky hill. It was decorated with lollipops of various colors and sizes, round like marbles, flat and colorful, with heart and star shapes along the edges.

Instead of laughing at her daughter's creation, the mother smiled warmly and said, "It's amazing! I'm sure your dad will love it."

The little girl beamed and continued decorating the cake's edges with colorful chocolate candies. She paused for a moment to think. "Would it be better if I added pop tarts on top?" she asked again.

A man's voice chimed in, "Wouldn't it be too sweet if you added candy and pop tarts?"

The little girl turned and exclaimed, "Papa!"
