CHAPTER 43 Gracie's Pendant

  Theo's POV

I hadn't fully realised until this moment how much we missed having Elsie around the house, her cheery disposition really uplifted our moods on a daily basis. Ever since she had gone, my brothers and I were left in an emotional slump, as though a grey cloud permanently hovered over us.

We hadn't really talked in a few days now, there were the odd moments of passing conversation, but we never spent a good amount of time together as we used to. Oris locked himself in the library, more so than usual, and Kai was out alot. I didn't ask where he was going, he needed to do what he could to find comfort.

There was no beautiful smile, or soft giggling coming from Gracie's bedroom while they played together. As I stood over the sink, my hands in the soapy water as I washed the same plate over and over, circling the sponge over its surface slowly, I gazed out into the back garden.
