However, I don't want all that. The only thing I want to do is to protect my family and live a peaceful life. Oh! And dote my little sister. "Oi. Chapter 2

Let me tell you something. Being released from your mother's vagina is not pleasant. It was like being pressed by two slimy walls. At first, I thought the worst thing would be being a baby inside your mother's womb, but surprisingly, it was rather comfortable.

Lucky for me, I don't need to stay there for a long time as my mother gave birth to me. I guess I need to thank Varixha for that.

Anyway, I have been doing nothing except eat, sleep and shit myself for the last four years. Let me tell you. It was the most boring year of my life. Yes, even in my previous one. The only thing I can do is practice my power.

One of these worlds is different from the Earth in that there is a system. Not the one in the game. This system is more of identification rather than full stats like in the RPG.

It only shows your name, age, occupation, inner ability, and physical progress. While it shows you how strong you are, it did not help you increase your strength from killing a monster. It did not have an exp system.

Every four years old child needs to go to the hunter guild to make this identification card. That is why my parents and I take a bus to the Hunter Guild in Medan City, North Sumatera, Indonesia.

Speaking of my parents. I was born to a couple named Johannes Nababan and Rika Butar-Butar. My first name did not change from my previous one. I'm still called Michael. However, my last name does change to Michael Nababan. Taking the family name of my father.

I was born in a small village called Kayu Besar village in North Sumatera, Indonesia. Our family is a farming family that sold our product to the nearby guild. Speaking of the guild, that is something different from my previous world.

Several guilds become the pillar of the country. There are three massive guilds and other smaller guilds. The first one is Hunter Guild. As its name implies, this guild is the one that handles the future hunter. They are the ones that monitor individuals that have a high-rank inner ability.

They are also the ones that handle the newly opened dungeon. They also handle the expedition group that explores the dungeon, and the one decides if the dungeon is weak enough to be tamed or it is a dangerous dungeon that needs to be conquered immediately.

The second guild is the Agriculture Guild. This guild is the one that handles all the agriculture of the said country. They are the ones that buy all the farmer goods who want to sell their goods. They are also the ones that keep the price of food low.

The third one is the Merchant Guild. The merchant guild is the one that buys and sells all the goods coming from the dungeon. They are the ones that sell the hunter their sword, armor, and healing potions.

There are also other guilds like the Blacksmith guild, Tailor Guild, and even a Farmer Guild. However, they are the branch of the three main Guild.

Blacksmith is one of Merchant Guild branches, Farmer is the branch of Agriculture Guild, and Martial Arts Guild is the branch guild from the Hunter Guild. There are many more guilds.

"We are here!"

I snap from my thoughts when I hear my father's voice. I look at the massive building in front of me. I will be lying if I say I'm not excited. I don't know if it was my childish excitement or something else, but I'm excited about taking my ID even though I know that I will be branded as an E-rank individual.

"Should we walk inside?"

"En! Let's go!"

As we walk inside, I can see many people walking around inside the building. Some of them wear full iron armor and have a massive sword on their back, while the others have light armor and hold twin daggers.

This world is really different from my previous world. It only has the same name as the country and nothing else. Religion? There are only four gods here. Tradition? Some stay the same but not many. This earth only has the same name.

"Welcome to the Hunter Guild. What can I do for you?"

"Hai, I came here to check on my son and also created his ID plate."

"Ah! Can I have your name, please?"

"Johannes Nababan"

"Johannes… Johannes… Ah! Here you are. You can immediately go to the second floor and get checked. There is no one to check up on right now. The room is the third room on your left."

"Thank you."

"You are most welcome!"

We then walk to the second floor. We immediately went to the third room on our left and knocked on the door.

"Come in!"

My father opens the door, and I can see a man sitting down behind the desk wearing a doctor's coat. The man smiled a little before saying.

"Please sit down on the chair."

We sit down on the chair in front of the desk.

"So! What can I do for you today?"

"My son needs to do a check-up and create his ID plate."

"Ah! That is easy enough. Please stand in front of the capsule."

When the doctor says that to me, I walk toward the capsule-like in the movie where they will be preserved. As I walk inside the capsule, suddenly, four tentacle-like wires come out and stab my skin.

I feel a little bit of pain, but a second later, I don't feel anything. I can see the capsule shine for a minute before suddenly it stops, and the capsule opens up. The tentacle released me and let me walk away from the machine.

"How does this machine work?"

"Oh? You are curious about this machine?"

"Yes"

"Well, this machine is the one that calculates your base power and also the one that predicts your limit. While there is a chance this machine is wrong in predicting your limit, it is only a small chance. This machine has an accuracy of 96%."

"I see. Then how do you make the ID plate?"

"About the ID plate, we need to do a quick ritual. This ritual involves invoking the name of one of the Gods. Do you know the name of the Gods?"

"Yes. Varixha, the Gods of Earth, Agriculture, and Wildlife. Lusarina, the Goddess of Chaos, Darkness, and Death. Pavarus, the God of Light, Life, and Law. Lastly, Harius the God of Elements and Balance"

"That's right. By invoking their name, I can bind your souls into the special plate that will appear in a minute."

"Binding my soul That sounds dangerous."

"Not at all. I don't mean binding your soul in a bad way. It only lets you access your inner ability without you needing to discover your ability on your own. After binding your soul on the card, You then need to smear a little bit of your blood into the card so it will automatically update your status."

"I see."

"Then let us begin the ritual, shall we?"

"En!"

The doctor then says some chant that I don't understand, and after a few seconds, a magic circle appears underneath me. After another few seconds, my body begins to glow, and I can see a card suddenly appear in front of me.

"And we are done. Please hold for a moment. I will take some blood from you."

The doctor then takes a small needle, stabs my finger, and smears the blood coming from my finger on the card. After I smear the blood on the card, I can see it shine a little before suddenly a few more words appear on the card.

"Done. Now, can you show me your Inner Ability rank?"

"Eh? You cannot see it?"

"Sadly no. That card is bound to your soul, not mine."

"Emmm. How do I do that?"

"Thinking inside your head allows me to see your inner ability rank."

"Kay"

I followed his instructions and gave my card to him. He took a look at my card for a few seconds before nodding his head. He then walks to the capsule from before and takes a paper from the side of the machine. He then wrote something on it before giving it to me.

"Here is your document, little guy. Congratulations, you have now officially become an E-rank individual with a chance to become a C-rank individual if you work hard. Oh! One more thing, you can de-summon your card and then summon it back if someone asks for your ID."

I can see my parents beamed at the news. I guess C-rank hunter is a good job for a farmer like my parents. Sadly for them, I don't want to become a hunter.

"Thank you, doctor."

"It is my pleasure."

After saying goodbye, we then take another bus to go home. While sitting on the bus chair, I summon my card and read it.

Name: Michael Nababan

Race: Human

Age: 4 years old

STR: 2/∞

VIT: 3/∞

AGI: 5/∞

INT: 70/∞

WIS: 30/∞

LCK: 5/100

Errrrr…. I think there is something wrong with the stars.

"Father?"

"Hmmm?"

"How high are the stats of C-rank hunters?"

"Let see… I think the lower C-rank hunters have a limit of three hundred points in two of their stats. The Mid class C-rank hunter will have four hundred, and the high-class one will have five hundred. How big is your limit?"

Infinite, but I cannot say that.

"Three hundred forty for my VIT and Three hundred sixty for my AGI."

"Hmmm… Unusual combination but not too rare. What about the other?"

"I have hundred and fifty in my STR, thirty in my INT, and Forty in my WIS."

"A rather balanced physical build. You don't hit too hard, but you compensate for it with defense and speed."

I decided not to say that I want to be a farmer instead of a hunter as I can see my father have a sparkle in his eyes when he tells my mother and me about me becoming a strong hunter. I ignore my father and decide to read my inner ability.
