The Mountain's Tip (part 1)

We over the plan for the thousandth time that evening.

"I know my part, Favian." I stated bluntly.

He shyly nodded and we set off. They all took formation while I stood nervously waiting for Liam. I took in the scenery to help ease the tension. The soft breeze and the breathtaking view, made everything stand still, engulfing you in its beauty.

"So you decided to show you face?" the voice knocked me out of my thoughts.

"Who are you?" I gasped soon regretting the tone.

"Who I am makes no difference, unarm yourself, and hand me the crystal."

Slowly, I took off my weaponry, and they showed me Damian. A slash down the side of his face, cuts running along the edge of his torso, and bruises by his neck giving evidence of torture. The scene made my blood boil, which clearly shone on my face.

"Calm down, we didn't hurt him too much." laughed this unknown person.

A switch flipped inside me and all I saw was red. Picking up my duel katanas, I ran swiftly, dodging the guard and swiping at my opponent. Cycling into a failed attempt, my hand placed on his back. Feeding off his energy, I feel a surge in power. As he draws back, I begin to realize my situation - fighting for my life at the mountain's tip.
