I can't sleep from that day, my head is spinning. Too much information to handle. Is it really my destiny? I still don't have a clue. It's true that I was born here, then Dax, the Astro Clan member, was assigned to protect me. Then I ended up in Amber. The Ermington family in Amber was part of the Astro Clan. I can't believe Dax is older than me. He seems in his 20s, but actually, he is 200 years old. Like Raven, he is 500 years old.
These things are enough to boggle my brain. Actually, I am trying to understand the situation here. Can I really restore this world with my powers? Am I really capable of doing that? But still, I don't know how to use my powers! Dax handed me the Jewel of Oracle; he told me it was one of the powerful magic weapons of the Mystic Princess. Only the Mystic Princess can master that. I have no clue about that shining crystal. With a lot of confusion, I spend my days here.
But one day, I decided to roam outside of the castle. While I was roaming, I saw people worshipping a special tree. I asked about them, and one of them replied that it would answer my questions. I was very interested to know more, so I prayed deeply to that holy tree.
At that moment, I felt a warm sensation surrounding me. I could feel someone touching me very tenderly. I opened my eyes and saw a huge beam of light energy in front of me, but it began to dim. I saw a female figure in front of me. Unconsciously, I spelled out her name,
"Poiesis... The mother of eternal light."
She smiled at me and began to talk.
"It's been so long, daughter," she said as she hugged me. For the first time, I felt a mother's love from her. She let me lay on her lap.
"So, what's troubling you?"
"Mother... Am I really capable of changing anything here?"
"Why do you doubt yourself?"
"Because I don't know anything about myself. From the day I was born, I have been someone's shadow, so I don't know anything about me."
She smiled at me and patted my head.
"Listen, child. You have tried to change 499 times, and this is your 500th time. However, I still have faith in you. Everyone here believes in you. I know that my child won't disappoint me, even if it goes wrong. It doesn't mean you failed. You gave it your best, and that's what matters."
My heart pounded for a moment. I became more emotional. I closed my eyes and tried to control my tears. She was right; first, I have to follow what my heart says and know myself more.
"Mother, when will I know I have that power inside of me to change anything?"
"You will know it when the right time comes. Your heart and soul will become one at that time. It will awaken," she said, kissing my forehead. As she faded away, I told her, "Thank you, mother..."
That time, I returned to the front of the holy tree. Mother showed me the path I have to follow.
Yes, I want to know more about myself. I still have so many things to learn.
That evening, I met Dax and Raven. Both of them were busy with something; it seemed like they were in trouble.
"Guys," I called to them.
"Isleen, not now. We can talk tomorrow," Raven buried his face in a document as he answered.
"Raven, Dax, I want to go and visit Magix."
"What???" Both of them jumped up from their places.
"Yes, I want to go and visit Magix."
"Isleen, listen, Magix is not a safe place. You are safe here. I like your adventurous mind, but the Mystic Princess has nothing to do in Magix. You can use your powers here and save the world," Raven told me.
"I'm sorry, Raven, I'm done with my life of pleasure here," I told Raven angrily.
Dax gave me a confused look.
I continued, "You may treat other mystic princesses as royalty or gods, but here I don't care. I want to know more about this world, so even if you are not coming with me, I will find a way for myself."
Both of them stared at each other, then Dax told him, "See, I told you... She is different." Dax chuckled.
"Okay, you won, princess. Let's go to the Magix," Raven told me with a smile.
"Finally, I am going to visit Magix. I don't know what kind of place it is, but maybe I will find my answers there. Here I come, Magix - realm of light!
