Chapter Four: Case Closed

That day Brian and Martha looked over everything from CCTV to maps of rat tunnels. But, they just couldn't crack it. The evening came and they were greatly dissapointed. Then at dinner Brian overheard a man across the table talking to his friend. He explained that he was here because his air vent was blocked and it would take a while to fix. That was when he understood. He remembered that the air vents between the lady with the pearl and the man who was gasping were connected and that they had been switched to sucking mode early this morning. That meant that the pearl must be blocking the air tube between the rooms meaning the lady had air and the man didn't. He explained it to Martha and that night they both climbed into the lady's large air vent until they reached the small air tube. They looked and surely enough there was the pink, polished pearl. They removed it and laid it down on the lady's bedside table. They left the next day after, having the best weekend ever.
