There were once days in which the world had abundant peace.

But all that became void, destroyed by the appearance of the unknown portals. The fear of man, now abundant in place of the peace that once was, sought a solution. And as always, the fate of things that man does not understand was an end, one of destruction. Arising from the ashes of collapsed buildings and estates and whole countries, were those called Hunters. Men and Women with the sole duty and purpose of destroying dungeons and that which came from within.

These Hunters belonged to a Hunter's Association. It was their base of operations and the collective gathering of all the hunters currently available. They assigned portals to different hunter parties and groups so that they can be cleared.

I was also a part of this association.

My name is 'Jin Tokito' I'm a 16-year-old hunter.

An F-Rank Hunter..... A weak one at that. Unable to fight monsters because i'm class-less, i'm left to carry baggage and pick up crystals for raid carry's. Killing weak monsters like slimes and goblins. Hunting is my side job and I do it for money since my father is sick in the hospital. Ever since he went on his last dungeon raid, he hasn't been able to do anything more other than being paralyzed in a hospital bed. I'm trying my best to earn enough money to keep our household going.

I saw an excavation team that needed an F-rank hunter so i went to sign up, but then i heard a voice...

-Random Girl: Hey Jin!

I looked back and i saw my Highschool Classmate 'Julia Takahiro'

Jin: Hi! How are you? What are you doing here?

Julia: Didn't you know? I became a hunter too hehe

Jin: Really? Then does that mean you're gonna join us in clearing this portal?

Julia: Of Course

Jin: Okay then. I'll see you later!

I went on my way to grab my Sword and my excavating tools.

We entered the F-Rank Portal with 20 members including 15 Knight class people 4 Mage class and 1 Support(Me).

The Knights killed the goblins and orcs inside with the Mages while i give them their Potions and killing weak Monsters using my Sword and after a while of Exploring. The excavating leader stopped and said

-Excavating Leader: Hold on... Is that a Legendary Chest?!! COME LET'S GO!

We enter the place where the Legendary Chest is and split the items, I got a Legendary Dagger. after that, The Entrance Closed and High-Level Monsters started to appear around us. I Panicked and thought to myself as my teammates get massacred...

Am I Gonna Die Like This?

I lost my will to fight and fell down on my knees

I saw my teammates die as i became the only person remaining. The monster cut off my left leg as couldnt move anymore. The High Level Monster points his sword on my neck and asked me...

-Monster: Do you keep wanna living like a weakling?

I was shocked to find out that monsters are able to talk but i answered...

-Jin: No. I don't wanna be a weakling anymore. I wish to be the strongest and feel like im on top.

The monster answered

-Monster: Very well, I shall grant your wish

After Answering, The monster cut off my head as my eyes closed, seeing nothing but pitch black.
