Chapter 5

Mrs. Lustra’s POV

I hit my head on a hard thing and quickly opened my eyes.

“Ouch!” I groaned in pain as I touched my head

That was when I realized we had slept in the bush last night

I stared sideways and saw my husband sleeping and snoring.

“He must be really tired,” I murmured as I ran my fingers across his cute face.

I moved my lips closer to his and patted a kiss on his lips.

He moved his fingers a little and slightly opened his eyes.

I smiled as he stared at me with those pretty eyes of his.

“Honey, where is my baby girl?” He asked suddenly

My mood changed instantly.

“Ashley, my baby, where are you??” I uttered as I heaved a deep sigh.

I felt really sad and depressed.

I can’t believe my baby is lost.

A whole child!!

“My Ashley!!” I cried out!

“What am I to do?? We have searched for them all over the night but all to no avail!”

“Let’s call the Nadine’s family and ask if they find them,” My husband said and I turned my gaze to him.

“That’s true,” I said searching for my phone.

After some minutes, I saw it in my pocket and picked it up.

I dialed Cruz’s mom number but she didn’t pick it.

“What might be wrong??” I murmured as I dialed her number again.

“Isn’t she picking up?” My husband asked.

“Yeah,” I nodded as I placed the phone of my ears.

Her phone rang for some minutes but still she didn’t pick it.

I heaved a deep sigh as I stared at the screen of my phone.

“Try her husband’s number,” my husband suggested.

“Ohh, that’s true . . . . . . . . . . . .Gosh!! I didn’t save his number,” I said as I placed my hands on my forehead.

“Gosh! really??” He questioned.

“Hun,” I said nodding.

“Well, I don’t think I have his number either, let’s get going, when she sees the missed calls, she is gonna call you back,” He said standing on his feet.

I also stood up and followed him behind as he made his way towards the extreme end of the bush.

We got to the end of the forest and I heaved a sigh.

I kept thinking of my precious daughter, my beautiful Ashley, the one who makes my day and always make me smile, I can’t believe she is lost just like that, Lord, please, help us find our child!!” I prayed silently.

We turned to the direction of our house.

I stared at my husband’s face as he was really moody, he is unlike this, he didn’t say a word to me, he just keep on walking until we got home.

I lay tired on the couch as I could not stop thinking of my missing daughter.

My husband just sat gently on the couch with his head bent to the ground.

He must be really worried also.

But where could those children be??

Or could it be that they were kidnapped???

Ashley’s POV

I stared at him as he keeps thinking of what I don’t know about.

“Hey! Cruz!” I yelled breaking his thoughts.

“Ohh . . . . . . Gosh! You really scared me,” He said holding his chest as he moved his gaze towards me.

“You are really a case, I said, where did that fruit came from?” I asked

“I don’t know,” I said staring away.

I can sense that he is really lying.

“Well, alright,” I said and stared away too.

“Yeah. . . .Gosh! Can you believe I’m so filled with that little apple I ate?” He questioned staring towards me but I decided not to say anything to him until he tells me where the fruit came from and how the fruit came lying here.

I focused my gaze on the brick opposite me; I didn’t even turn talk less of replying him.

“Ashley. . . .Why aren’t you saying anything??” He questioned holding me.

I frowned.

“Fine, I’ll tell you,” He said and I turned to him happily.

“Really?” I turned towards him excitedly.

He nodded.

“Ok, tell me now, where did it come from?” I asked

“I woke up this morning and heard footsteps of some people running after each other. Suddenly, I saw a man threw something down here and I noticed it’s an apple fruit.” He concluded staring at me.

“Wow! Really!” I exclaimed

“Yeah,” He nodded.

“Well, alright, thanks, that’s why I love you,” I said smiling.

He blushed. . . . . .Yeah! I saw him, his cheek really turned pink as he smiled back.

Unknown POV

I paced around the room waiting for the boys I sent on an errand.

“I hope they brings those two back, I really need them especially their powers,” I thought as I paced around my room.

Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door.

I stopped walking around and paid attention to the knock again because I might just be assuming it.

I heard the knock again and it was confirmed that there is really a knock on the door.

“It has to be those boys,” I thought as I walked towards the door.

I pulled down the door knob and those boys appeared.

I stared around looking for the two lovers but couldn’t sight them anywhere.

“Where are they?” I asked furiously.

One of them smiled.

“Boss, calm down, don’t you trust us, we would always bring good news to you,” The one I assigned as their head said smiling.

I don’t know when I had a smile of my cheek too.

“Really??? Where are they now?” I asked with my eyes widened.

“Come with us Boss,” He said and they all turned to go.

I followed them behind.

Not long after, they stopped at the sitting room where the both of them were tied to a chair.

I smiled broadly walking towards those lovers.

“Good job boys,” I said facing them.

“Thank you sir,” They said as they all bowed.

I walked up to the lovers and they looked so weak.

Finally, I will have more power and be powerful than all my enemies,” I said as I laughed exposing my white glistering teeth.

“Bring them in,” I said walking towards my secret room.

That is where all my powers and secrets are kept.

We got into the room and I sent the other boys out and closed the door behind.

I picked up a pot and placed it on the floor in from of the guy.

I focused my gaze on his eyes as my eyes turned white expecting his power to come out from him but nothing came out.

“What??”

‘What is this supposed to mean?”

“Why is his power not coming out from him??”

“Or could he be a wrong person??”

“This person seems powerless!”

I walked to the lady and fixed my gaze on hers as my eyes turned white again but still the same thing happened.

None of them unleashed their powers.

“What’s really wrong??” I murmured as I angrily walked out of the room.

I’m really gonna punish those boys.
