Who Am I

Krist returned to S. Prachaya's room with a chicken noodle soup. He helped the young man to sit and put a pillow on the headboard so that his head could rest while he's sitting. When he offered to help the man eat, the other shook his head and told him that he could feed himself.

He did not argue. He thinks that its better to sit next to him rather than feeding him.

Their situation will only be intimate.

Not everyday there's a naked man on his bed.

The young man eat slowly. He ate the broth but the meat was left.

Krist had placed the tray on the side of the table when the man said he was full. He just kept sitting beside the man.

He knew that the man had a lot to ask him. And he's indeed right.

"Krist", the man started. "How did I come here?"

"I just found you on the floor of my operating room", he replied. "You're unconscious and injured. When you wake up, you do not want to go to the hospital. You said..." he doubted what he would say but he preferred to be honest "you said that they will kill you"

"You don't know where I'm from before?"

He shook his head

"How long I've been here?"

"Three days" Krist answered.

He saw the man opened one of his palms and then close it several times, and he also felt his frustration.

"I do not remember anything", its a weak statement.

"You have some tools", he said.

Krist got up from the bed and headed to the cabinet in a corner of the room. He opened it and took out the vest and the holster of the gun from there. Then he brough those to the young man and put it on his lap. He also took the dog tag on the side table and gave it to him.

The other guy looked at the dog tag with a name "S.R. Prachaya" written from there, he whispered as if he did not recognize his own name.

He lowered the dog tag and took the vest.

"Is it my web gear?"

"Is that a web gear?" Krist asks in return.

He did not know the terms used by the military for their equipment.

The other guy nodded and opened the pockets one by one.

He took out the Swiss knife and a small plastic box with a red cross displayed on top.

The young man opened it and realized that the box is a first aid kit, it contained some medicines, gauze and even water purification tablets. There was one thin survival blanket in the pocket of the vest and others have an extra magazine clip of the gun.

The man's head lifted. "Where's my gun?" He asked Krist.

"I hid it", Krist answered bravely. "Sorry, but I dont know what or who you are. That's for my safety"

Prachaya blinks his eyes before he nods, then he continued searching the other pockets of the web gear.

"I think I'm not a bad guy", the man said as he looked at Krist. "I don't want to scare you, but if I really want to hurt you, I don't need a gun or a knife"

Krist was stunned, but not because he considered the man's threat. He was afraid that because he knew that if the man really want, he could do what he said. "I know that's why I'm with a bodyguard"

The man raised his eyebrows. "My dog", Krist replied quickly.

The man smirked at the boy before he nods and looked at the vest again. He got another small container.

"What is that?" Krist asked as he looked the other guy.

"Based on these things, I can say that I'm a soldier" he said.

"But because of this", the man showed him the screwdriver and the other small tools.

"It seems they were using by a thief"

"What!!!?", Krist exclaimed

"This is not complete, but these tools are used for breaking and entering a property" the other guy explained.

"You have something left in my operating room, probably you used them to open my door"

"That means I entered here even though you locked the door?" The man asked surprised.

Krist nodded "so if you're a soldier now, maybe you were a thief", he joked, but the man didn't laugh.

They did not get any cellphone or wallet in web gear pockets, but there was a bluetooth headset, so they did not even know who the man really was.

The man reaches the dog tag again and observes it. He looks like a little lost boy. Krist had to stop himself before he pulled the young man into a hug.

When the man's fever was high and he's unconscious, its okay he had to lie down in bed. Thats a charity. But now that the man is awake, Krist know it is no longer appropriate. That was clearly harassment.

"Judith" the man said softly.

Krist's face flashed in surprise.

Is that his girlfriend? Wife?

"Who is Judith?" He asked

The other guy turned to look at him again and watch him.

"The queen of hearts", he replied. "The queens of the cards have names. Judith is the queen of hearts. Pallas the queen of spades. Argine the queen of clubs and last is Rachel the queen of diamonds".

He looked at Krist with a warm expression that the other could not resist. Krist took the other man's hand and squeezed his palm.

"Krist, I know its not right to trust me especially that I can not even prove that I'm not a bad guy. But I promise, I wont hurt you", S. Prachaya promised.

"I know that", answered by Krist.

"Do not trust me too much", added by him. "You dont know me"

Krist was smiling. If he doesn't have trust in this man, he would definetely change his mind because of what he said. Who is a dangerous person who will warn others not to trust them.

"I'll always be with Kong when I'm going here"

"Is that your dog?" The man asked

Krist nodded and stoop up again

"I'll wash the dishes that you used, then we'll talk again. You'll have to rest, I'll just take ice packs for your bruises"

The young man nodded. He left it fixing the web gear

Krist felt something in his heart. He likes whatever this man said, he doesn't believe that the other guy is a dangerous person.

This man is polite, kind and smart. He did not know that the queens in the cards have names.

But Krist's mind keep wondering about who this guy really is. If he is a hero or a villain? And he was afraid that even if he knew that this guy is a villain, he dared not to accept it.
