Chapter 6

After diving into the sphere, Fares felt as if he was passing a thick layer of jelly, but due to his momentum, he managed to pass through it.

The first thing he saw as he opened his eyes was the darkness of space filled with multiple beautiful galaxies. It was too breathtaking that if he was breathing normally he would've stopped breathing.

'This time my question isn't where, but how am I even surviving in space?' Fares thought realizing he was still see-through.

'Normally people cannot live in space, but seeing as to how my body is not even physical does that mean I am not human anymore?'

'But again this see-through body still has a human shape, which leaves only 2 possibilities, either all of this is a dream or that this is my soul.'

'I lean more to the latter though. But how did my soul even leave my body? Let's calm down and think, what was I doing before coming here.'

As soon as he focused, memories started surfacing back as he started to remember.

'I see, so the necklace had some of that energy the box needed, but why didn't it unlock the box? Did it absorb energy from the box instead?'

'It makes more sense now, if the soul is present in the fourth dimension like time and space, and it is always present whether we see it or not, we just needed a catalyst to interact with it. That means the necklace was a catalyst!'

Fares got excited as he solved one of the mysteries that happened to him, which made room for even more mysteries that he needed to solve.

'So what the hell is that necklace? And where did it come from? If it's passed through generations, why did the knowledge of its origin get lost that easily? There is something bigger going on, and I will be the one to unveil this mystery.'

Fares said as he rubbed his hands together and plastering a creepy smile on his face.

He then looked around and started to gouge his surroundings in more detail.

He noticed that he was floating in a nearly infinite number of dark threads intertwining together at some places and by-passing each other in other places, passing through and connecting planets, solar systems, and even galaxies together.

These threads were near black and of different sizes so thin that he didn't see it but just felt it as it passed through his body too.

He didn't know what that is, due to humanity's limited knowledge of the fourth dimension.

He decided to forget about it for now since it didn't affect him, and looked at the galaxies far away trying to locate his Milky Way.

'I wouldn't find any clue by just staying here, so let's go back to earth and search for an answer later.'

Thus, Fares continued searching until he finally found, what he thought was the Milky Way.

'But how do I go there? It looks at least a few billion light-years away.' He racked his brain trying to find a solution.

'Thinking wouldn't help me much, I'll just try moving in that direction first.'

He couldn't step his foot on any solid ground though, which he expected, so he tried swimming, but it was futile.

Extending his hand in the direction of the galaxy, he accidentally put his hands on one of the thickest threads. As soon as his hands touched it, he felt himself get sucked into it.

All he could see was in fact lights. He felt as if he was moving in a tunnel at an extremely fast speed that everything around just blurred by.

After what felt like a few hours, he suddenly felt as if he was slammed face-first onto the solid muddy ground.

'Wait! Did I just feel this?' Fares wondered as he sat down and touched his face again.

To his surprise, he could feel it this time. 'Does that mean I am back to my physical body?'

He got excited for a second, but it took him just a second to realize that it wouldn't be a good thing at all.

'What happens to my body there? What about my family? They would be devastated if my body suddenly vanished.' Fares entered his zone thinking sad thoughts.

Kreeeeee~

It was only then that he heard an ear-piercing scream. He froze for a second thinking the worst. But he still mustered the courage to look up at the sky to see, enormous trees looming all around him.

The trees were way too big, with 20 meters in diameter and a height he couldn't possibly see the end of. The tree leaves were each the size of a fully grown adult, and the branches were at least 1 meters in diameter.

Thing weird thing is, there wasn't just one but way too many that everywhere he looked there were those trees.

Kreeeee~

The scream came once again, this time Fares didn't want to wait and see whatever it was that was coming from the sky, so he ran in a random direction.

After a few seconds of running, he realized something, the sound wasn't coming after him it went in the opposite direction.

However, his bad habits got the best of him, he got curious, again. So, he followed the voice slowly.

A few minutes after that, he came across open grassland with a weird tower in the middle, the base of the tower had been dyed red, with a pool of red surrounding it.

Fares got a few steps closer to the tower when his face suddenly sank and his heart started beating wildly.

It was a Quetzalcoatlus. A type of dinosaur from the late cretaceous period and is the largest flying animal ever known to man.

However, this one was even larger than the Quetzalcoatlus Fares read about in books, as it has a wingspan about 50 meters compared to the ones discovered by scientists on earth which average only 15 meters.

The moment Fares laid eyes on it, he froze for a few seconds but still forced himself to walk backward slowly towards the forest he came from.

His mind made a quick plan, that is to hide in the forest and hope that that thing isn't able to see or follow him there.

Thud~

But as he was walking backward slowly, he stumbled on a tree root and fell on his back with a loud thud.

He looked towards what he could only describe as a monster, which is to be expected since he always lived a peaceful modern life only focusing on studies, but what he saw shocked him a great deal.

The Quetzalcoatlus was staring at him dead in the eyes, with blood dripping down its peak.

It tilted its head slowly to the side before screeching in an extremely loud and soul-shattering screech and immediately flew in the direction where Fares was.
