A cold light appeared in Bai Tian's eyes.

When Bai Yun and Bai Tian had entered the forest Bai Yun had requested Bai Tian to search for demonic beasts since they could not find any. Bai Tian had moved alone for a few minutes and discovered the Level 2 Demonic Beast, Two Horned Black Rabbit. That is when an explosion distracted him.

Bai Tian had gone two the source of the explosion only to discover Bai Yun's corpse. Now that he thought about it the place also had traces of earth magic.

There were probably Earth and Fire mages protecting that trash since he is still the son of the patriarch, Bai Tian thought.

With that he sped towards the Bai clan to bring more people to question the Lin clan.

The next morning Lin Feng woke up. The events from yesterday were still fresh in his mind. After preparing and eating a simple breakfast, Lin Feng went to the shop. As always, the shop was empty. Yang Chen, who was arranging the goods and products saw Lin Feng. He immediately started talking.

"Young master! Big news. The seventh young master of Bai family, Bai Tian was killed yesterday. Some bigshots from Bai caused a ruckus in the Lin clan yesterday."

Lin Feng became very scarred. Have I been discovered, Lin Feng thought. Yang Chen, who was unaware of Lin Feng's predicament, continued.

"According to the Bai clan, two experts from the Lin clan were responsible for killing Bai Yun. The Bai clan claims this was a scheme by Lin clan to eliminate competition for the young talents of the Lin family."

Lin Feng was stunned. Was he safe? Could it be he was never suspected?

Suddenly Lin Feng sense the presence of a powerful expert approaching the shop. In the next few seconds an old man in light blue mage robes appeared. The man looked old but had a threatening aura. Behind him more old men appeared. There were at least five or six old men in light blue mage robes. The first old man to appear was Bai Tian. He asked, "Who is Lin Feng?"

"That would be me." Lin Feng replied. He had a rough idea of who the ol men were.

Bai Tian calmly walked towards Lin Feng, placed his hands on Lin Feng's shoulder and asked, "Would you happen to know who killed Yun'er?"

"No sir." Lin Feng replied.

Right now, Bai Tian was actually using mana to probe Lin Feng's cultivation. Lin Feng was aware of this but he was confident in the System's abilities.

"Stage Two of Novice Mage realm...." Bai Tian said to the other old men.

"He is obviously weak. Yun'er would have no difficulty dealing with him." One of the old men consoled Bai Tian.

The old men had one last look at Lin Feng before leaving.

After the old man left Lin Feng sat on one of the old stools in the shop and sighed in relief. Just as I thought, hiding and cultivating in low key was more beneficial. Lin Feng thought to himself.

He then looked at Yang Chen who had just witnessed something incredible and was still in shock. He started talking to Yang Chen.

"Are you ok, Yang Chen?"

"Yes, young master." Yang Chen replied after coming out of his shock.

"Call me boss from now on."

"Yes....boss."

"Boss, what was that?"

"None of your business. I have a job for you. Find out everything that happened in Lin clan yesterday."

"Yes boss!"

With that Yang Chen left. After he left Lin Feng calmly said, "System. Open the Myriad Paths Magic Shop. It is time to shop."
