Can't fight.

The beast alert device has come in handy in times like this. It dictates the wave from a far distance, alarming the base before time and giving them the time to react and prepare for the fight. However, ever since it was discovered, it has not been put to use, except in the event of Lyon.

On the device, they are two light led one was yellow and the other is red, this is the signal light that tells the strength of the beast wave. Yellow means it's something they can take on while red means a strong wave and just then, Lily and Johnson were looking at the device as it beep in red colour.

"What those this mean?" Shad asked, he had no idea that the base has a device like this, however, he was quickly explained what it was.

"Why now..., anyways, I'm back and ready to take on whatever is coming," he said after Albert was done explaining what was happening.

"How long will it take for them to reach the gate?" Lily asked.

"From the device calculation, an hour or so is too long," Albert said.

"Then we have to act fast," Lily said as she started to issue some commands to the people in the surrounding.

The hospital hall soon became uproarious, as the people started to panic. It was already obvious to them that they were about to be attacked by another beast wave.

"Calm down everybody, things are being suited please, this won't help," the nurse that brought Lily in tried to cheer the people up but to no avail.

"We are all going too! "

"I just got healed I can't afford to lose any of my limbs again!" some of the people in the hall started to cry.

Seeing this scene, Lily was helpless, she was the one that took those people in and she has to take care of them.

"I think you should leave this area, it will be hard for you to see all this and remain the same," Johnson advised as he drag Lily out of the hospital hall.

"Call out everyone, we need to fight this, even if it means fighting with our lives," Lily said as she started running back to her office. As she was going, she could see that all the guards were getting ready, they were running helter-skelter.

"Shad! Take those that can't fight to the safe house, they will stay there till all this is over, after that, report back to my office!" Lily ordered Shad and he quickly left to do it, meanwhile, Lily looked at Albert. "Where is Mini?"

Regardless of the chaos going on outside, for some reason, V and the rest of his friends had no idea of what was happening outside, they were sitting in a quiet house that has a single room, it was like a storage room, its light bulb was white but was a little bit shaky.

"Why didn't you stop her, from kicking them out?" Mini asked V who she was sitting on his thigh. "They shouldn't have left, they can stop the wave you know that," Mini continued.

"Hey don't blame us, your mom is the one that decides what happens in this case, so what could we have done, maybe if you had shown her those puppy eye of yours, she might have changed her mind," Tony said while leaning his back on the wall behind him.

"What if we secretly sneak them into the base, she won't know right?" Mini suggested.

"Who the fuck gave you a such idea, you are still a kid to think that way, anyways, we won't be doing that, what if they found out,"

What Mini suggested was not a bad idea, they have thought of it as a matter of fact, but the problem is what if they were caught?

"And what will happen if they found out, not like we will be kicked out?" Mini insisted.

"Even at that, we won't be doing that," V finally said. "She is the one that runs the base what we can do is to suggest ideas, apart from that, we can do anything else," he said.

Just then, they could hear some noise outside and Mini quickly went and look through the peephole. "What do you see?" V asked.

"People are running around the base, I don't know why," Mini said looking further into the hole. "They are carrying weapons and it is as if they are preparing for something," Mini explained in detail.

"Is something going on outside?" Ron asked no one in particular.

"Maybe we should check it out and see what is actually going on," Tony said as he also walked over to the door side, but first looked through the peephole. While doing this, he suddenly ran back to where he was before.

"What is it?" Ron asked.

"Lily...!" he whispered.

Meanwhile, they were a knock at the door before, Mini opened it. "What are you guys doing here, there is a beast attack going on and you guys are here doing nothing!" Lily yelled as she entered the room.

Meanwhile, V and the other's eyes widened on hearing what was happening outside, but soon their faces returns to normal. "What can we do, judging from the device on Albert's waist, it is a beast wave we can't take on, why don't we just sit down and let them kill us already," V said as he remains in his position.

"You are going to do nothing?!" Lily was shocked by V's reaction.

"What else can I do? The ones I have done are not even appreciated, what do you think I can do?" V voiced out.

It was the first time he has acted like this and it was strange but obvious that he was fed up with the ordering around.

"Honestly, we can't do anything about this, if a beast wave is coming, then I don't think we can do anything, none of us is superhuman's after all," Tony said.

The device was signalling that the beast wave heading towards them was stronger than any they have faced so far, and they could barely make it out alive from the previous waves now another was heading their way especially now that their defence mechanism was damaged.

"I at first thought it might be a bad idea to let them stay but now, I think it is a bad idea by kicking them out," Ron said as he sigh.

"Really? Is that all you guys can say? Fine then, if you won't fight I will do it myself," Lily said as she grabbed Mini by the hand and was heading towards the door.

V wanted to stop her but was beaten on that. Just when Lily was at the door, it was sent flying inwardly. She wasn't able to react in time, but luckily, Johnson was fast enough to pull her out while taking the hit instead.

He was sent flying back towards Tony who was hanging on the wall and the two collided with each other.

Taking a step into the room was Hulk and he accompanied three other men that were carrying firearms. Hulk quickly snatched Mini from Lily's hand while gripping her by the neck.

"I will be the one to issue commands in this base from now onwards," Hulk said as he used Mini as a hostage.
