Chapter 102 Relaxing Walk

The protector didn't lie when she said she's proud of her gardens that surrounds her domains.

If not for the iron maidens scatters throughout the area, any nature lover will wish they can stay here forever.

Different species of flowers that complements each other made up her mini gardens. The aroma from each of the flowers makes almost any person calm and relax.

The two red heads admires the greeneries while holding each others hand.

"This place is so beautiful, darling." Leah said. "...but what is that?" she asked while pointing at one of the iron maiden that's being covered by overgrown vines.

While she tries her best to not get annoyed by the iron maidens that's ruining the mood for her and her darling's relaxing walk, the tone of her voice betrays her.

"I know what you feel, its kind of out of place with all the soothing greeneries around no matter how you look at it." Cleo answered.

Leah just nods profusely when Cleo agrees with her.

The two red heads tries to approach the iron maiden that is being covered with overgrown vines.

Leah's heart almost stops when she heard a voice coming out from it but she quickly regain her composure and draws out her curve sword from her spatial ring. Cleo did the same thing.

"Wh-what is that, darling? Why is it talking?" Leah asked while pointing her sword at the iron maiden with her dominant hand and holding Cleo's arm with the other one.

Cleo cannot answer Leah since the only knowledge he have with this thing is from some MMORPGs he played back in their previous world and most of the time this devices are being used as an execution tool so it doesn't make sense that's someone living inside of it.

"Calm down brat." The voice that came from the iron maiden sounds hoarse and every now and then the two red head hears coughing from it.

"Who are you?" Cleo asked once he confirms that there is indeed someone living inside of the iron maiden.

"You can call me Mer." The hoarse voice answered. "I can't imagine that bitch manage to find a husband and even have two children with him!" he added.

"What are you talking about?" Cleo asked.

"Aren't you two the children of that bitch Delmira? You have the same hair color and all." Mer said while still coughing every now and then.

Before the two red head can react to the outrageous claim of Mer, a loud voice called them from behind.

"Cleo! Leah! What are the two of you doing here?" The voice came from an old man that has a line of scar across his face. "You both have some explaining to do and it's better if you just ignore those criminals inside the iron maiden there's no good that will come from their mouth anyways." he added while dragging the two red heads away from the iron maiden.

Once the three of them gets a reasonable distance away from any of the iron maidems that are scattered around the area, Alger then proceed to ask his questions.

Cleo did all the answering since Leah is not fond of the old man due to him asking Cleo to marry his grand daughter.

Since there's no use in hiding it anyway and Alger already proved that he is on their side, Cleo just confirmed what the old man discovered with his conversation with the protector, with them being a God's Chosen.

"I knew it the moment I saw you the first time! There's no way a young kid like you is already a SwordMaster." Alger said with confident even though he almost died from a heart attack when the protector revealed it to him. "I guess my Avery didn't really stand a chance after all." he added.

Upon hearing Alger's resignation, Leah puffs out her chest with a smug look on her face. Alger notice Leah and just let an audible sigh.

"So what are you're plans now? The offer still stand by the way and expect a better compensation if you decides to join us." Alger said. If he want them before because they're both high levels despite being young, he wants them even more now once he discovered that both of them are God's Chosen.

Having a God's Chosen in your guild will skyrocket the value of your guild in the kingdom and he's looking at two of them right now.
