35 The Past 2
"Igneel, guess what I found out about Sage Mode!" Flying from far away, Bukubukuchagama landed before me, Just to see Mai who was in her silver humanoid robot form helping me with my research. She looked at Mai who turned to face her, it was unclear if Mai needed to turn to look at her since she had no face,
"What?" I asked while looking at a human I had captured, the human skin was turning pale white, while he transformed. horns grew on his head, forming a crown.
"Boss, he is gaining a few powers, but not all of the powers within the Ōtsutsuki bloodline. Among the powers gained is the power to shrink and enlarge things, the power to absorb all forms of chakra, the power to teleport just about anywhere, the power to copy other abilities he sees, the power to switch places with something, the power to warp reality by giving form to ones thought although not for long..." Mai went on to list a few more powers, leaving me nodding lightly, while Bukubukuchagama's mouth opened wide at how overpowered this guy was.
"No need to be shocked, I found that the abilities and jutsu shown in the anime are all abilities within the Ōtsutsuki bloodline. I went through Isshiki's memory and found that the Ōtsutsuki are filled with many gods, and beings like Amaterasu and Kamui are gods up there. Sasuke and the other Uchiha clansmen tapped into bits of these gods' power," I said calmly.
"they all live on another plane of existence, in a higher dimension. This makes me wonder if they are stronger than someone like Zeno from Dragon Ball." I said calmly, while controlling the Stringnites within the guy in front of me, and trying and unlock all of the powers... but it didn't take long for the human to explode, unable to handle all of that power.
"Until I can have a normal human be able to hold all the power within these genetics, without any side effects, I don't plan on having anyone else touch them. So, what did you find out?" I asked while sitting back in my chair to look at Bukubukuchagama,
"Well, what Hagoromo most likely did was did what the world tree is doing... I mean god tree." She said catching her mistake. She went on to explain everything to me about sage mode, such as the most basic thing with sage mode is just absorbing natural energy into your body and balancing it out with your chakra, allowing you to enter Sage mode.
Above this is absorbing it, and instead of just entering the sage mode, you make that natural energy part of your being. It was almost like cultivation, but it was as if you just fused with natural energy, becoming one with the world.
"I believe this is how Six Paths Sage Mode was most likely birth." She said leaving me thinking for some time before I nodded.
"Mai your thoughts?" I asked to which Mai shrugged slightly.
"Well, the first thing that comes to mind is Jugo. his bloodline allowed him to take in natural energy at all times. but what Buku is saying might have some benefits for one state of mind." Mai said to which I nodded lightly,
"So, who is Izanagi in this world? and wasn't Shibai the strongest?" Buku asked
"Well, Shibal Isshiki's family branch leader, so he holds him higher than most people. I created a tier to the levels of gods. the lowest is demi-gods. this tier of gods are beings with the power to destroy small stars. they are people who have eaten enough chakra fruits to reach this level of power. they are above low ranking being like Kaguya." I said calmly.
Before getting into higher ranks, one should understand that these ranks are for those normal Ōtsutsuki clansmen. there were many branches within the Ōtsutsuki clans, each branch holding its genetics which they closely guarded from the other branches.
Normal clansmen within the Ōtsutsuki clan are born with a random affinity from one of the 5 affinities, fire, air, water, earth, and lightning. If you gain the fire affinity, then you will have the power to control flames at will, from breathing flames and having them take all types of forms. you can even create a fire dragon and so on. The fire-style jutsu was created to mimic their powers, but a Ōtsutsuki just needs a thought to do what Shinobi would need hand seals and a high level of chakra control to do. They have the power to destroy even large stars
A lesser God is a Ōtsutsuki clansman who met two conditions. the first thing is Chakra fruits, and the second thing is to have two affinities which they must fuse to birth a new affinity. For example, water and wind would birth an Ōtsutsuki with power over the Ice. the Shinobi would call this Kekkai Genkai, also known as Bloodline limits. Lesser gods have the power to destroy things as large as solar systems which can be dozens of light years large... and yes, earth's solar system was large, some say it is 2 light years, some say it is more
For an Ōtsutsuki to become a Greater God, they need 2 things. they need to eat enough Chakra fruit and also need to have a 3rd affinity which they fuse to create what the shinobi call Kekkei tōta. If you had Earth, Wind, and Fire, then you can fuse them to birth Dust release. you would have the power to disintegrate things on a molecular level. Greater gods have the power to destroy things dozens of solar systems, and given a few years they could destroy the galaxy
Above this was the High God. To reach this stage, a Ōtsutsuki needs to have all of the affinities and fuse them to birth a truth-seeking orb. A truth-seeking orb was the fusion of all of the affinities, making them the peak. one can even add Yin and Yang to gain the have the power to nullify all other affinities. these members of the Otsutsuki are powerful and can destroy galaxies.
Above this were Supreme Gods, they were those with unique bloodlines which they tapped into. they are so unique that they don't even need to worry about the affinities and only worry about the unique abilities they were gifted upon birth, all they needed was chakra fruit. among such people were Isshiki and Kaguya, but these two were of course not Supreme gods, once a person reaches this level of power, they lose their physical form, and ascend
"So, those Supreme gods are further split into more tiers, where at the top of which Izanagi stands at the peak. With the power to write the very rules of reality, that make you untouchable." I said calmly, to which Buku's lips twitched nonstop.
"So, we should have gone to Dragon Ball?" She asked, to which I thought for a moment at her words.
"I'm not so sure about that. People downplay the Dragon Ball Universe. The Dragon Ball world has many dimensions. for example, Heaven is bigger than the living world, but the living world is infinite, so heaven is bigger than infinity?" I asked calmly
"it's complex and all, but pretty much, I don't think Goku is simply multiversal when one dimension in his universe is so big," I said calmly, to which Buku nodded lightly,
"but then again, this world might also be on the same tier... what pain," I said with a helpless sigh,
"How many fruits have Isshiki eaten? he is planetary right?" Buku asked while looking towards where Kaguya was at.
"He has eaten 1. he is only a mid-level within the clan, above the likes of Kaguya who had yet to eat one even though she is a princess. I mean her grandfather is a supreme god." I said shocking Buku.
"Kaguya is an arrogant young master, favored by her parents she did just about anything she wanted. She was pretty much the arrogant young master from those novels. She tried to order Isshiki around, leading her to get a beating, thats how she learned how to hold in her rage before she exploded to kill." I said with a shake of my head,
"And now she lost all hope and is waiting for the clan to come capture her, and she is slowly falling in love with this world... how cute," Buku said with a sigh, before looking towards me with a look of confusion
"Are you not going to do research into the sage beasts?" Buku asked, Sage beasts are animals that are sages. In the Naruto anime, the Toad Sage, Snake Sage, and the Slug Sage were the only Sage beasts to be shown.
"That one frog has the power to foresee the future, is that not useful?" She asked to which I nodded as I almost forgot about that.
"Mai," I said to which Mai nodded while controlling Stringnites to fly off, going to all of the sages around the world. Each Sage taught a different type of Sage mode, the toad Sage taught a sage mode which gives the ability to turn the natural energy around them into an extension of their body to increase the reach of their attacks. the snake Sage which gives the ability to use natural energy to breathe life into inorganic substances and control them.
No Sage modes were the same unless taught by the same sage beast, this wasn't in the future when all of these Sage beasts would slowly stop using natural energy and start using chakra instead.
Time passed, and soon we watched as Kaguya was forced to flee as everyone feared the small power she had. the man she loved was amongst them, and the only friend she had ended up dying to protect her. In the end, she reached the God tree where she controlled it to give her the chakra fruit. I of course had sent Stringnites over there to study that tree.
What followed was everyone Kaguya awakened her Rinne-Sharingan. With these eyes, she looked towards the moon, the Rinne-Sharingan which was on her forehead, and also on the god tree flower, the moon was reflected with the same pair of eyes. She had cast the ultimate genjutsu, The Infinite Tsukuyomi which covered the whole world, the moon glowed, covering the whole world in bright light, causing everyone to freeze before looking at the sky, their eyes going lifeless before the Rinne-Sharingan reflected in their eyes.
Kaguya floated in the sky, her eyes cold while looking at her former lover be wrapped by the God Tree's roots, and be sealed away. She rubbed her stomach slightly, before ignoring him and looking at the world... it would just be her and her sons who would rule this world.
"..." But as she was looking around, her eyes landed on a zone where her light wasn't touching. with narrowed eyes, veins grew around her eyes. This was her Byakugan, when activated, those veins would appear around her.
Her eyes landed on two strange beings who were lying on the ground, lazily watching everything happening as if it were a show. With narrowed eyes, she flew over. She was no longer a low-ranking member of the Ōtsutsuki clan, she was sure that even Isshiki would fall to her current powers.
She arrived above us, looking at us in confusion, before looking at the tree next to us. She could sense the power of this tree, it was no normal tree, and it seemed like this tree was one with the world.
"What's up?" I asked calmly, making Kaguya's eyes narrow while her eyes turned back towards me. She looked at me for some time, before she stopped using the Byakugan, allowing her to see us. and she was stunned, she was a beauty in her own right, but the sight before her was like nothing she had ever seen in her life.
"Who are you? and how are you immune to the Infinite Tsukuyomi... and what is that strange power within you?" She asked in a cold and emotionless voice,
"Thats a secret princess... instead, you should be more worried about the fact you didn't just try to kill Isshiki but also stole a chakra fruit from the clan," I said making Kaguya's face drop at the fate awaiting her. it was a sure death,
"Luckily for you, we are planning on swallowing the whole universe. what do you say we work together?" I asked stunning Kaguya whose face turned into a disdainful one. She had the right to do so, she just heard someone say something about ruling the universe. wouldn't that mean going to war with her clan?
"... I'm getting tired of looking up," I said calmly, before using my dragon aura. Kaguya's pupils shrank as horror swallowed her, she instantly dropped to the ground, landing on her knees while she fearfully looked at me... but all she saw was a mighty dragon looking down at her with cold eyes,
"Thats better," I said while standing up, and looking at Kaguya who was covered from head to toe in sweat. My eyes glowed, and although my aura wasn't there, Kaguya still felt the fear. she was stronger than me, I was only moon level at the moment, and she was slightly stronger... but my abilities were just broken.
"Now, this is the plan on how I will take down your clan..." I said with a smile, and as I spoke, Kaguya's eyes widened at the plan.
"Of course, this needs you. Do you need chakra fruit? Do your part and I can give you all of the chakra fruits needed to become a God." I said while in my palm, atoms gathered, forming a chakra fruit that left Kaguya's eyes wide.
"Only I can do what we are planning on doing. do we have a partnership?" I asked while getting on one knee, and looking deeply into Kaguya's eyes. Kaguya nodded, as it would be foolish to say no.
"Thats good, go ahead and go do your thing. when the time comes, I will come to see you, until then do what you want with this world." I said to which Kaguya left, but she would never see us again as we moved from that spot. even when in the future when she searched all over, she would never find us.
We went on to move, living in peace while I finished my research a few days later. I honestly got everything I needed from the past, but I stayed as I wanted Evergreen to learn. I already noticed she was growing attached to the human she was watching, as from time to time, she wanted to move in to help him in his struggles. But I told her not to.
The man she was watching went through many hardships, parents' deaths, loved ones' deaths, betrayal, depression, and the list went on. but he stood up every time he was knocked down and soon became the head of the village, which left Evergreen cheering in joy for him.... just for her heart to drop when everything turned out to be meaningless when his rival used his children to force him to kill himself. His whole family was slaughtered the next day, leaving Evergreen enraged,
"So, what do you think of humans?" I asked while looking at Evergreen who had turned back from a tree. 39 years. Buku and I couldn't spend so much time doing anything, so we just traveled to the future when she was about to be done.
"I... see I was only looking at one side of the story." She said with a complex look while looking towards the village far away which was in smoke. She watched him go from a slave to a warrior who fought for the village head daughter, before they fell in love, just for her to die. he was a slave once more, but he escaped and fought threw hell to get revenge before he sat on the throne of the village head.
"every life has a whole story behind them. To kill and not fully understand that..." She didn't know how to finish her words. She wasn't evil, she loved all plants be it those inside Nazarick and out. but at this time her heart grew to cover animals and other life forms.
"You are right, a life is priceless. Murder is murder no matter how you put it. Taking a life knowing full well that that person can change makes you as much of a villain as the person you killed, if not worse since you lie to yourself, telling yourself what you did is just." I said with a smile while picking up an ant off the ground.
"But that's where we come in... we are villains. But do you think what we do is wrong?" I asked to which Evergreen shook her head without even needing to think.
"My lord, you conquered the world and created a world where all races can live together. you gave the world undead to keep the peace, you stopped so many evil things... you are a villain that would rule the world, but in the end, bring peace to the world. So what if a few lives die for the sake of the greater picture? they should die happily knowing the impact of their death." She said to which Buku laughed at those words as she never thought of it like that.
"Let's go home and strengthen everyone in the guild," I said with a smile, to which Evergreen nodded while we headed back to the future.
