Yu Yan herself was an obedient and filial daughter, she never questioned her parents desicion and always followed them even if they were not what she wanted for herself, she sacrificed her dreams for her parents believing that they will make a better decision for her than she herself is capable of.

She was arranged married to a guy, that her parents met just once during a company meeting. At that time she was just starting her college but she never got to step foot in the college because of it, but she never questioned her parents.

She thought may be her now husband will make her happy but sadly he left her six months into their marriage. She was left alone with a child, he had kicked her out of their house. She went to her parents for comfort and support but they put an ultimatum in front of her; either she aborts the child and marries another man that they have chosen immediately or they will disown her.

Heart-broken she left. She had no where to go, and no one to lean on. Initially she stayed in the shop where she worked as a waitress, the owner of the cafe felt pity for her and gave her a small 2 room flat which was previously used as a storage.

Yu Yan worked even until the last day of her pregnancy. She decided to toughen up, adopt a positive outlook on her life and forced herself to mature for the little life she was carrying.

Ying Yue never appreciated her mom's hardwork. She is often teased by her neighbours and bullied by her classmates and she often comes home crying because of it.

She was teased and bullied because she had no father and didn't have an influential family background.

Ying Yue went to a state-of-art private school. She wanted to be like one of those rich girls belonging to upper-class family. Once she started at that private school she became more demanding and distant.

One day the teasing became too much for her and she went home crying. She directed all the anger she felt towards her teasers to her mother. She slammed the door open, threw her bag to the ground,  broke things and threw her mother's lovely cooking to the ground. She didn't know what else to do. She started shouting at her mother;

"It is all your fault, because of you I am like this. Because of you no one likes me. Because of you I can't get what I want in life. You are the worst, I wish I was an orphan atleast my life wouldn't be so different from now".

Yu Yan gasped those words stabbed her in the heart like a arrow. She wanted her daughter to atleast respect her if she can't reciprocate her feelings. She just stood there taking every word in, with a smile on her face.

After this incident Ying Yue became more distant from her mother, she stopped talking to her. It has been five years since this incident. Now Ying Yue only talks to her mother when she wants something and even then she is short and to the point.

Unknown to her this behaviour of her was breaking her mother.
