Prologue
"Sweetheart," Rong Yixuan called. "Why are you crying? Are you not happy to see me?" he asked, playing with the mask in his hands. His cold eyes looked at her without any love or emotion. All she could see was indifference and hate for her. Unlike before, his voice didn't contain any endearment for her not it was filled with love.
"Why did you do it?" Su Yanruo asked, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Don't cry," Rong Yixuan tsked. "You know, I hate to see you cry, my love."
"Why did you do it? Was it fun playing with my heart?" Su Yanruo asked, her cold eyes looking at him with hate.
"Very much!" Rong Yixuan laughed. "You made my life exciting, sweetheart. You know, before meeting you every girl used to come with my one single move. But, not you! I had to work hard to woo you. And, when I got to know about your identity, it only made me take a step further to please you. Look, I succeeded, didn't I? You fell in love with me, your biggest enemy. You were looking for me all over the place, but I was right beside you. Hah! Just look at you, you were so fooled by my fake love. You, the biggest she-devil of the underworld became a fool in my love. Hahaha... Isn't that exciting?"
