William Leoda: The Aftermath

It been a year now since the attack on the western city happened, and no one really knows what truly trigger the Yanci into attacking the western royal city or what their motives of the attack was.

But they have been rumors circulating after the announcement of the death of the wife of the lord of the western royal city, the wife of the only Lieutenant General currently, and the rumor is that the Yanci are simply showing off how powerful they are, to attack the city that was supposed to be the number two most protected city after the central city and get away with it.

But here we are with the death of the wife of the man that was hail as the next most powerful after the 'king' himself with no one to be held accountable for her death or the destruction of the city itself.

How the Yanci's got access into the city with how tough check points clearance are, no one also knows that too.

The western royal city is now in a situation where a lot of soldiers are dead with no one to blame but ghost that many still don't believe it even exist at all, well only the mob believe that though.

The Leoda mansion, it has been gloomy and dark around here since the madam of the house was killed, the son William, despite what people thought of him as been lazy and self centered was a bright, nice and cheerful child to every maid that work in this mansion.

But after the tragedy happened, anyone barely saw him, and when they are 'unfortunate' enough to see him, he give off a chilly aura that practically make them all shiver from head to toe, which makes all the maids stay off his side of the mansion, all they could hear are sounds that the maid has now come to believe to be the sound of training, but what kind of training involve all night and all day with only few hour rest in between and no food, despite how curious they are to fine out, they don't dare move closer to his side of the mansion, it was completely off limit.

It really isn't pretty what the death of someone you love deeply can do to a person, and how it can even change someone's entire live.

The father, Lieutenant General Allen has buried himself in work since than, trying to figure out how the Yanci got in, who were on duties, were everyone where they were supposed to be, how many people knew he was going to be out of the western city that day and above all else how did the Yanci find out about his wife been an uncover agent, only him, his wife and the King knew was she was doing so how they they get how of that information his wife was about to pass on to him.

He really could not make use of the information his wife has pass on to him, because he really don't know who to trust or talk to anymore, all he could do was to pass the flash drive over to the 'king' and the 'king' has asked him to do nothing for now.

***flashback to after William fainted on the battlefield***

After the dome like chaos energy fade away, not up to thirty minute later the fighting all over the western city came to a sudden stop, like the Yanci's awakens all received order to retreat, and barely twenty minutes after the Yanci's retreat the Lieutenant General Allen arrived into the city.

It's one of the rescue teams that was deployed to help the wounded that found William and his mother body and bring them back to the camp that Eloise was the head off, where the Lieutenant general Allen was currently giving order, even after the news of his wife death and his son conditions was delivered to him, he did not leave his post to go see them, he continue to issue out order that quickly stable the city and the people anxiety was put to rest.

By the time he was done and able to leave his post, it was already a day later and his wife was already prepared to be buried, when he got to the camp mortuary, he saw he son, standing beside he mother.

They both stayed in silence with their own thought, well more like Allen stay in silence with his own conflicting thought, but William's thought was completely devoid of any noises with only one word been repeated over and over again, Revenge, and he will get it, even if it the last thing he do.

It been over thirty minutes now since they have been in total silence.

"William, l Am..." Allen tries to apologize but William beat him to it.

"it's okay father, l totally understand, and l believe mother understand this too that is why she died with a smile on her face, she had no regret with been with you, your duties are important to you, beside does duties and dedication to it has brought you this far, your first priority lays with the city and the military and not your own family, l guess l finally understand, all the absents mother give excuses for on your behalf was not because you forget us, No No, you did not, we were simply not a priority to you, it really is okay, mother was happy with you and that good enough for me" William said as tears start to fall.

Allen tries to pull his son closer but he could not because he knows what he son had said was the truth, his own father rise him be put orders and duties first before family, and now he is reminded of the reason why he himself resent his own father so much, and just like him to his father, his own son now resent him.

He really should have been here in the city when the attack happen, he was not really needed where he went to but he went anyways, and there is not going back in time for him now to fix anything, he has now become he own father that he hate so much.

"Here he what mother told me to pass to you, although she forbid me from going through it but l guess it was just her own way of trying to keep her son from all this greed, betrayal and fighting, well l did not listen and l checked it, it the name of everyone she suspect were in the Yanci and leaking the military's information to them, it all on this flash drive, l guess this what they attack for, the mission you assign to her got her killed, l hope you remember that every time you think of her" William said as he drop the flash drive on the edge of his mother's coffin and turn back to walk out.

"You can bury her, have said my goodbyes" William said as he walk out of the mortuary.

"Eloise my love, have failed you" Allen said as he sat beside his wife coffin and weep.
