At Clark's House.

The couples sat side by side in a large couch sipping hot coffee. Mr & Mrs.Clark were looking at some pictures and busy talking to other.

" Will he agree to this?" Mrs.Clark anxious ask her husband.

" Don't worry too much, it'll be alright." he comforted her.

" You know our son..."

" Why are you making fuss in the morning?" Rolland already sit at other arm chair looking serious.

" Ah, you already up." Mrs.Clark smile at her son clearing the tension.

" Can't you see, mom."

" Alright" Mrs.Clark ignore her cold son, " We have found you a partner." his mom was direct.

Rolland have some idea when his dad call him yesterday to come home immediately. They have been telling him to have a family long before which he never agree. But it seems different so he came back late last night having another plan. Seeing he is being quiet.

" It's already time now. There is no turning back." Mr.Clark said staring at his son. It look like a warning. Rolland frown.

" Marriage again" he said little annoyed.

" You are already thirty-four. To you know what people say about you." his dad was losing temper.

" It's none of their business." Rolland was indifferent.

Being most successful man, People gossip about him being unmarried at this age. But what about my friends some are still unmarried? why do they only point at me?

" Son, you will like her this time. She very unique and beautiful" his mom try to win him smiling sweetly. Mrs.Clark was full of excitement thinking of Scarlet.

" Everytime you say the same. What's there to be happy about" Rolland just humph.

" You...Woman are trying ways to marry you and here you are." his mom was annoyed by his behavior.

" They only think of climbing to my bed." he smirk, " did the girl parents ask for marriage or you plan together?" Rolland always know that woman ask for marriage and his parents pesters him so he become more annoyed of marriage.

" No, we ask them for their daughter's hand. They are good family I am scared i'll lose face." Mr.Clark was dead serious now, he also feel like he is achieving something.

Rolland was stunned to hear his dad and only look at them. They are the one to propose what made them want this woman. He don't understand.

" Who is the woman you chose?" he finally ask them.

Mrs.Clark was relieved since, " Scarlet Niu, she is my bestie daughter" she was showing puppy love " the hidden daughter" and smile widely.

No wonder they want to pleased someone they know. Rolland know Niu family. He know the beautiful eldest daughter of Niu family, Hellen Niu.

" Who?" he don't remember Niu having someone name Scarlet.

" Aya...of course you don't know her even we saw her when he was only two" Mrs.Clark said sadly, " She is the second daughter of Niu family. Never out in public for she protest."

Rolland never know that some people hide in their house not wanting to see this world. He was curious after hearing his mother. What kind of girl stay at home like that?

" That's why you propose them?" he ask hiding his feelings.

" Not excatly, when having dinner with Niu couple your mom accidentally saw her photo and talk about them." his dad said.

He never believe that they want to have some unknown person as their daughter in law. Why even dad agree with it?

" We thought that you don't like popular girls so we ask them but i like her." Mrs.Clark admit it, " they didn't seems to agree at first.." she look at her son.

" She agree?" every girl dare not reject him so why would she. He was waiting to hear them.

" They agreed" she answered.

" I agree" Rolland was showing some evil smirk.

" You what?" Mrs.Clark had imagine him refusing though she was the most impatient about his marriage.

" Mom, you don't want" he ask

" No...I just didn't expect" Mrs.Clark smile cutely.

" I don't want myself repeating" Rolland says folding arms.

" Then that's great..finally mighty son of mine is getting married" Mr.Clark take a sip after saying.

" However, i have a condition" Rolland said.

His parents don't care about the condition whatever it may be. They only want their son to be married and want Scarlet to be their daughter. So, they will listen.

" It might turn out that you two are destined, son. She also have a condition. So let's hear yours." his dad was happy.

They can't believe what he said. They were totally shock, never imagine his condition.

" This is nonsense" Mr.Clark was first to say.

" If not, there won't be any marriage" Rolland was rude.

" But..."

" Then know no marriage" he cut off his mom in middle. His dad was very angry. How can he face Mr.Niu.

" Honey, calm down. I'll talk with them first. I know my friend will understand." she try to calm her husband.

" Sweetheart, come here dad and mom have something to tell you" Lucy had a worried face. She saw her daughter coming out of study room.

" okay mom" Scarlet sat down with them. Only three of them were in the living room.

" Before Mrs.Clark had call but.." mom paused.

She saw her daughter innocent and looking attentively to them. It breaks her heart.

" Go on, mom. I am listening" she said softly matching her quiet personality.

" She said that her son have a condition and that his condition is...." she become slow in the end.

" What is the condition?" she was so calm. She knew that the condition is not good one seeing her parents reaction.

" We don't have a marriage celebration but a silent one, only sign the martiage certificate that's his condition." Lucy was upset and think that her daughter won't like it. Marriage is the biggest gift and happiness one have especially to woman but.

" Mom, I like it." Scarlet now think that this is very good. Why not she think about this before? she find it like her without any troubles. Scarlet know that Rolland and her won't have something that every couples have but she will have and get what she want and this is just perfect for her.

" What!" her parents shouted, " you really agreed to this" her mom couldn't believe it.

" If you find it unreasonable, then i decline." Scarlet said lightly she wasn't bothered. Her parents took care of her all these years and never protest about what she do.Scarlet have thought about it ever since marriage was brought out but she didn't mind getting it because she can be how she is now. No one can stop her even if he is her husband or lover. She will always be her.

" No we didn't mean that. We also like it since you are used to quiet life." her parents really wants to see her get married because they worried she won't find any man for herself. Luckily, they found for her but this is so different from what they actually want. But they already agreed only their daughter was left but she actually agreed as well. They were happy seeing her smiling at them but didn't notice what she holds in her eyes.

" They said that they will send the marriage certificate tomorrow if you agree. I'll tell Nancy the good news." Nancy is Mrs.Clark, Lucy address by her name.

Wow. Clark actually are fast. There is nothing rich cannot anything even rules become useless. But they cannot tread my rules and she smirk.

" Let it be..I have all prepared" Scarlet whispered.
