Never felt so weak.

My breath got louder, my eyes widened as I stared at the ground, still in disbelief.

"Master are you …"

Before Tess could even complete her words, I had already charged forward.

My hands stretched to the side as I yelled,

"Rose!!!"

Obeying my command, she answered, her body transforming into a white sword that glued to my grasp the moment I grabbed it.

I'm not making the same mistake this time. I'm not sure what this power does, but the fact I'm getting a second chance like this means I can save them.

The first time came as a shock to me, I wasn't prepared, I don't know how far back in time I went, or if I even went back in time at all.

All I know is, regardless of what happens, I'm saving them and I'm not taking a single chance. I'll kill them before they even step into the house,

Bummmm!

I kicked open the door, charging in at the first sign to light,

Or so I thought.

The moment I stepped into the house, it was like they were expecting my arrival, due to the tension I couldn't quite tell, but I felt about six different sharp swords aimed at my neck.

My eyes widened in shock because I knew there was nothing I could do, they were too close for me to even dodge.

If that wasn't enough, my sis was being choked to the ground right in front of me, while my mother was on the ground, pleading for the man in black to free her.

Once again, I couldn't save them.

I died.

And just like before, I found myself returning to the same point, just a few moments before I stepped into the house.

Instinctively, I pulled my hand around my neck, it was like I could still feel the multiple blades slicing through my neck.

The first thing I thought of was how far back I went, since it was now obvious I went back in time.

How far back?… I thought for a while, but no matter how much I tried to make sense of it, I couldn't get an exact number.

It would be a different case if I had a phone or watch with me, but ever since I arrived at Murai mansion, I haven't exactly been one with these things.

When I die, I go back to whenever I activated the power of the king as far as I understand.

It's obvious even now, whoever these people are, are already in the house right now.

I stared at the front door, gritting my teeths in frustration, but I don't plan on acting without thinking, no matter how angry I get.

First thing is first, since it doesn't seem like this power has a time limit… I can use it to my advantage, gauge the time difference to the moment I said redo and the time it took for those bastards to break into my house.

"Krista!" I called out.

"Krista understands… Krista will help you check the time… but Krista begs that you don't use the power.."

"I'll be fine."

"Master… is something the matter?" Rose asked, staring at me suspiciously.

Just as I was about to respond, my house, with my family inside, blew up.

I was frozen, I knew they were going to die, I was prepared for this, but for some reason, it still hurts.

The fire consumed everything, not a sign of my sister or mother visible.

I fell to my knees, grabbing my hand as I tried to calm myself down.

'It isn't the end, I can still go back and redo everything, it's okay.' I kept telling myself.

"Master!!! Look out!!!" Yelled Tess behind me.

I raised my head up a bit, only to see a fast moving sharp rope speeding towards my forehead.

Luckily for me, Tess was quick, in the blink of an eye she had arrived in front of me, using her hand to deflect the attack away from me.

Following her was Rose, who stood in front of me like a shield, her left hand taking the form of a white blade.

Still knelt on the ground, I suddenly heard a voice coming from within the fire,

"So, the king of vampires finally showed himself… I thought I'd have to burn down this whole city first."

It was him, the man who killed me the first time, I could never forget his cloak and black hellish hat.

And he wasn't alone, about fifteen, if not twenty more weird looking human beings were behind, each one giving horrible sounds.

"Master, be on your guard."

Tess utterred, green glowing streaks suddenly networking out of her body as she took a fighting stance.

I took a deep breath, I plan on dying anyway, so I might as well get what I want from him.

Rising to my feet, I was ready to confront the man, know who he is, why he tried to kill my family and how to make him stop.

But the villains will always be the villains, and I never claimed to be strong or ever thought about my weakness, not even when I became a vampire.

But in this very moment, as I watched this man dangle the heads of my family like a rag doll, there was no way to describe how weak and stupid I felt.

"Are these yours?" The man in black asked me.

I lost it.

My blood boiled… and I acted.

Creeeek!

That was the sound of me twisting my neck, my body falling to the ground.

If I had waited a few seconds longer, I know I would have charged head first in… and that isn't something I want to do.
