14 Bone and Wings

Ming Ze appeared in a hall that was wet because there were drops of water that kept falling from above.

Looking up, Ming Ze discovered that there was water.

To his surprise, the water had no obstructions. It wasn't deep either.

Right above that water, he saw people bathing.

It was clearly the swimming pool above. The ones bathing were of course the youths of the Sun Empire.

Some of them were looking down as if to find out what was going on there.

'It seems that everything is just an illusion,' Yu'er said, jumping to conclusions.

Ming Ze also thought that way.

It really was an illusion, and to get through it required determination.

Without determination, one would continue to dive past the illusion.

Ming Ze succeeded in a short period of time which meant his determination had been recognized.

Who knew why it was designed like this.

Ming Ze's eyes gazed forward.

At the end of the hall, he saw an extremely majestic but empty silver throne.

The moment after Ming Ze gazed at the throne, it suddenly shook violently.

The vibrations caused the hall to tremble as well.

On the throne, an extremely dazzling light appeared, seemingly covering a human figure.

Ming Ze couldn't see the figure but he was certain that the figure was definitely behind that light.

"Who?" Ming Ze asked in a low voice.

"You have passed the test, showing that you have a determination that no one else has, you deserve a reward from me." Suddenly an answer came from within the light.

Ming Ze couldn't tell if it was a male voice or a female voice. It wasn't clear, even Ming Ze sometimes thought that it was a bird's voice and sometimes he thought that it was the voice of another animal.

Or it could be said that it depended on his imagination.

Ming Ze didn't say anything, just waited for the figure to give him a gift while wondering what that gift would be.

"You're a swordsman," the figure said again.

"However, what you truly excel at is only your sword technique. You have a weakness in physique. Your speed is also only slightly faster than average. If these two problems are resolved, you will definitely become even more unstoppable."

Ming Ze couldn't help but be amazed at the figure's words.

He really knew right away what his shortcomings were.

Then would the gift he was about to give him remove that flaw?

Ming Ze wondered what it was that he could have such a strong physique and high speed.

Shua! Shua!

Suddenly two objects came out of the light, moving quickly towards Ming Ze then stopping right in front of him.

Ming Ze was instantly mesmerized by what he saw.

One was a clear blue backbone, similar to a diamond. As for the other, it was a pair of very dark black wings.

"Immortal Dragon Bone and Night Eagle Wings. Both of them no longer exist in the Heaven Realm. They are the only ones left. Even the Immortal Emperors would fight tooth and nail for them. Now they belong to you." The figure said.

Shua! Shua!

The two objects moved again, entering Ming Ze's body.

Instantly, Ming Ze's eyes opened wide.

He felt the integration between his body and the two objects.

They fused with his cells, connecting with his soul.

Although it was a bit painful, Ming Ze was still amazed. He thought that if he had to integrate with those bones and wings himself, the process would be really complicated. Here, it was only because he had the help of that figure.

The process that should have been long became fast.

BANG!

A loud bang resounded from within Ming Ze's body.

A pair of black wings appeared on his back, instantly making him feel extremely light.

At the same time, his bones emitted a blue light, penetrating his flesh and skin so that they could be seen from the outside.

Now he had different bones. They were completely light blue in color.

Ming Ze didn't need to investigate to know that his body was now as strong as steel. He could probably withstand the slashes of most swords without the slightest scratch.

"Mm!" His eyes shone when he looked at his hands. This was because he discovered that his cultivation had increased. He had finally become a True Immortal.

The enhancement process was simple, but completely solid.

From his heart, a sword-shaped light suddenly appeared.

It caused the air to become extremely sharp.

'Is he The Sky Ancestor?' Ming Ze wondered through his own mind, staring at the light.

This was all very miraculous, it must have taken an enormous amount of power to be able to do so.

Because Ming Ze had already seen peak cultivators like Evelyn, he immediately concluded that only a level above Evelyn could do something like this.

It was just that, Ming Ze wasn't sure what the Sky Ancestor's purpose was in giving gifts to people he deemed to have enough determination. After all, the gifts he gave were too precious, wouldn't it be better if he gave them to his clan members?

Unfortunately, Ming Ze wasn't able to see the light for much longer.

It suddenly disappeared.

The hall became instantly silent while Ming Ze's body stopped emitting light, leaving behind only a pair of wings on his back.

Those wings he was able to insert into his body.

Thinking that there was nothing else there, he finally jumped up.

Shua!

To her surprise, when he entered the water above, he suddenly appeared directly in the pool.

His sudden appearance startled everyone in the pool including Sun Yi and Violet who were still waiting there. The latter was sitting, in shock, she straightened her slender back.

"What happened? Where did he appear from?" People began to wonder.

This was the first time they had seen something like this. Normally, those who dived would return by swimming upwards so that they were discovered before they reached the surface.

Perhaps everyone who reached the bottom would return like that, but unfortunately none of them had ever seen anyone who had made it to the bottom.

Evelyn did make it to the bottom but that was when she was very young. The youths here had not been born at that time.

"Did he make it to the bottom and was rewarded and sent straight up?" Someone asked, making the others put on a serious expression.
