132 For you

After taking a swing, Su Jianjun eyed Ying Yue carefully, wondering if it really was a coincidence that she was here. But then again, this was an appointment-basis golf course, and his schedule was strictly confidential.

He would know. He personally put it together, but also normally didn't really stick to it. He wondered if she recognized Xu Lin, who was with him a moment ago. But if she did, she wouldn't stick around here with him. "Since when have you played golf?"

She turned to him with a naughty smile, "A few years. It's a personal hobby I don't really let anyone know about."

"Mmm." He smirked. It didn't seem like she was able to associate Xu Lin with the Jade Circle. "It's a pleasure to share it with you then."

Su Jianjun relaxed and started talking to her about random things as they went on with playing golf. As usual, he seemed very calm and endearing, just like how she met him. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word. In fact, even when he tried to teach her his swinging technique, he made no move to touch her inappropriately. The hours went by quicker than she imagined.

"Why don't we take a break and have coffee in the hall?" Su Jianjun suggested with a smile.

Ying Yue bit her lip, trying to look uneasy.

"Come on, it's just two friends having a small drink. Even if you're about to get married, that's allowed, right?" He gave her a lopsided smile.

"Don't you have any meetings to attend to, Director Su?" She motioned for the caddie to take the club she was holding on to, and then she started removing her gloves. She'd been slacking off for a few hours to get him to warm up to her. It was time to bring up Changsu.

Su Jianjun did the same and started walking alongside her. "I have men I can delegate responsibilities to."

She frowned at this. Was he really as capable as they said? He seemed a bit too laidback. "If you don't mind me asking, how did you take over Changsu?"

"The answer to that is a little complicated." He chuckled, "But I'll consider answering you if you have coffee with me."

The blue hyacinths on Fei Huangjin's hands were suggested to him by the florist as a symbol of "making peace."

Zhang Zihan had forever changed his view on roses. And he specifically told the shop that he didn't want roses of any color to be recommended if they didn't want to be shut down on the same day.

Thankfully, they complied. And that was how the bouquet came to be.

Fei Huangjin got off the elevator and walked towards Ying Yue's apartment door. It was already early in the evening. He'd apologize and ask her out to dinner. Yes, that would work. He rang the doorbell and waited.

There was no response.

What could she be doing at this time? He checked his watch. Was she perhaps taking a nap? He pressed the doorbell again, this time twice for good measure.

He began to get impatient and started pacing at her door. After a few minutes, he became concerned that she wasn't in. Fei Huangjin took out his phone and dialed her number, but his call wasn't pushing through. This situation was fast becoming all too familiar. Damn it. Did she disappear on him again?

He placed a call to Guan Ting. Fei Huangjin had some men from the Dragon Club tailing her at all times. They'd know if she left her building.

However, just as Guan Ting picked up, the door to her apartment opened, and Fei Huangjin's breath was caught. Ying Yue was standing there with her wet hair dripping all over the floor, seemingly fresh from a shower.

She was staring at the flowers in his hand with wide eyes.

The call he had placed was forgotten as he panickily stuck out the flowers towards her. "For you."

She turned her eyes to him with a skeptical look.

"I apologize. About this morning..." His eyebrows met in a frown as the bathrobe she was wearing finally registered in his brain. It clung to her body, showcasing the smooth curve of her hips and the gentle swell of her cleavage. "Why did you come out like that?" He rapped out accusingly.

"Excuse me?" she crossed her arms and raised a brow. "This is your fault! Who was the one who was crazily pressing on my doorbell? I didn't have time to change, you shithead."

He ran a frustrated hand through his hair before looking left and right and taking a step forward to tuck her in back at her apartment. No one should see her in this state. Only he could.

Ying Yue blocked the door with an arm. "You're not getting inside."

"I wasn't--"

"I'm not going to forgive you just because you're bringing flowers." She pointed out. Even if they were very pretty flowers. "Go home, Huangjin. Try again on Monday."

"But--" The door closed in front of him with a slam.

Fei Huangjin's shoulders slumped.

The door opened again, and he perked up hopefully. But Ying Yue's hand only shot out to take the flowers from him before slamming the door once more.
