Letter

Azrael didn't remember how long she was in her room, pacing back and forth in quest of her answers. But it was the unfamiliar growling in her stomach that brought her back to reality.

"Oliver, do we have some food?" Azrael inquired walking down the stairs, only to stop midway and notice the guest in the living room.

"Azrael, guess what?" Valerie excitedly hopped out from the sofa, rushing to her.

"You didn't leave yet so it's bad news," Azrael whispered to herself, trying to keep her nerves in check.

"What?" Azrael walked down the stairs, going straight to the kitchen with Valerie following her like a cat.

"I am staying here. I don't want to be queen or anything." Valerie declared with a voice filled with spirit.

"Pardon?" Azrael nervously chuckled, not sure how to react to it.
