71 Release the Kraken! (Part 2)

As the battle with the Kraken heated up, the three armored boats were getting too battered to hold on for longer, and the monster's attacks were getting quicker and more vicious.

["Vespera, I think the blood orb is going to be in its core…"] I said with telepathy to my companion. However, she had her hands full while deflecting the tentacles that tried to destroy one of the boats.

Simultaneously, the sky became darker as clouds covered the sunlight unnaturally fast.

"No…" I muttered, knowing that I had just read from the Kraken's information that it was stronger in rainy seasons.

"We need to end it quickly!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, hoping that someone on the boat could hear me.

Just as the rain began, I saw the princess flying my way, avoiding dozens of snatches from the Kraken's tendrils.

"Melina, wait! Who is in the boat!?" I asked, knowing that she was our boat's main line of defense.
