24 Certain Desire

Mary always thought that if there was a man who could be Erza's lover, that man was luckier than all the men in the world.

How could she not be, Erza was so beautiful as a woman, had such incredible style that it was mesmerizing to look at from anywhere. She was a living treasure.

And most importantly, she had immense wealth and power.

A man could not ask for more if he had a lover like her.

Plus, she is young and chaste, having never been touched by any man. This is certainly an added value.

"What if the man is from the Rothschild Family or he turns out to be a woman?" Mery asked again.

"Hmph, all the men from Rothschild are not attractive in the slightest." Erza suddenly snorted.

"I'll make him a slave if he's a man from that family. And if he's not a man, he'll also be a slave."

She didn't seem to be joking at all when she said that.

Mery had no doubt that she was prepared for any consequences.

War might not matter for the best source of power for her.

"It's just that the city is so big. We can't find that person if he doesn't give up his power," Mery said, looking up at the Paris sky which was quite beautiful for tonight.

Erza also looked up at the sky, closing her red eyes for a moment before showing a faint smile.

"No, we will meet tonight," she said, surprising Mery.

She wondered how Erza would find that person.

"Jane, she's also in this city, and I'm sure she's connected to the owner of Zeus' power," Mery added.

"Miss Jane!" Mery's eyes looked interested.

Jane and Erza were actually very close friends when they were young.

They only saw each other rarely since they became adults, only occasionally during certain events or chatting through video calls.

Because of the familiarity, Erza can vaguely sense Jane's presence when they are in the same area even if the latter does not use her powers.

Not long after that, a luxurious Mercedez pulled up in front of them.

It was driven by a middle-aged man who seemed to have a lot of experience in various matters.

He got out of the car, looking at Erza and Mery.

"Are you Miss Erza, please come in," he said, opening the right and left doors of the car with quick movements.

"Take us to the city center," Erza replied, she entered the car without trying to say anything else.

At the theater, the movie continued, and perhaps because he was with Jane, David also began to enjoy the movie.

Occasionally, he would eat the snacks provided.

Time was short and David wasn't satisfied but the movie was over.

With the movie over, he and Jane inevitably had to leave.

It wasn't a room to stay in, you were only given a few minutes after the movie ended.

Although any problems could be solved if they wanted to stay, it was not good behavior.

Jane didn't seem to have any intention of staying longer either.

"Let's go," she told David.

The latter nodded to her, stood up and walked out with her.

Outside the movie theater, Lisa was waiting with the Rolls-Royce, even the door was open. David and Jane just needed to get into it.

When he was about to enter the car, David was a little surprised because he saw the figure of Isabel passing by on the opposite sidewalk, on foot and still wearing the clothes she wore at university, along with some of her friends.

She was carrying about three books in her hands, looking like she had just bought them.

Due to the presence of the Rolls-Royce, her gaze was still fixed on David.

Of course, she wasn't smiling or nodding lightly like at university because of the distance between them. She just continued on her way.

'What am I feeling now?' David wondered.

When he saw Isabel, his heart was beating slightly, but it wasn't because of nervousness or anything like that, it was more like excitement, excitement to get something.

David of course immediately understood that Zeus' power aroused his desire to possess that woman, who before this was the most beautiful woman he often saw because they were in the same class.

That desire only became stronger with time, and perhaps it would turn into his power when he got what he wanted.

David tried to calm himself down and then looked at Jane who didn't seem to notice anything.

It was the same as last time, but David felt that Jane was not unconscious.

Since becoming a Spiritual Being, he felt a perception that was far above ordinary humans. Even ordinary humans would sometimes realize if their partner was observing someone else.

Jane could not be unconscious, she might just be pretending to be unconscious.

"Jane!" David called out to her as the car started moving.

In his opinion this was something that needed to be talked about or it would result in serious problems like unimportant drama.

Jane looked at David for being called, but she didn't say anything.

"I think there's something I need to explain to you," David said.

This time, Jane frowned.

After that, she suddenly raised her hand, as if signaling David to stop talking.

She then picked up a piece of paper and a pen, somewhat confusing David.

Apparently, she drew something on the paper, a heart shaped like love.

As David wondered what she was trying to do, she suddenly crossed out on the side of the picture, forming a line from top to bottom, which then caused the image of the heart to split into two.

However, since the line was on the side of the picture, there appeared to be one large space and one small space.

The large space covers 90% of the image while the small space covers only 10%.

After doing all that, she wrote a word in the large space, (Jane!)

"Keep this," she said, placing the paper on David's thigh.
