11 Chaos

Abaddon closes his eyes and eventually opens them, "Let's not get distracted, permit me to start where we left off."

He stares intently at Helios, "Year 3778, Reign of Father Astrapi, the advent of Armageddon."

A joyous day for a blessed union between the Sun and Moon. Praises and gifts from either direction; vows being exchanged and tokens of love given.

It was an extraordinary day for everyone in Promised Land. Everyone was allowed to attend even without a particular invitation and with that, not a single person had a negative thought. Naturally, they all lowered their guard.

Which someone overestimated and acted over his emotions, without a prepared plan. He initiated a rebellion against his older brother because he stole his first love.

Of course, every strategist would make a plan and several backup plans. If they heard what Abaddon did, they would be utterly disappointed.

A wise general once said, "Move not unless you see an advantage, use your troops unless there is something to be gained, fight not unless the position is critical."

Abaddon did the exact opposite. He moved with an unprepared army and fought for a stupid reason. Love may be beautiful but it can be a drug that decreases intelligence.

He finished his brief storytelling and cried fake tears. What did the people in Tartarus even do to him during his exile?

"Hopeless madman..." Helios whispered.

Abaddon heard his remark and chuckles eventually laughing like a genuine madman. "My, Helios. You grew your humor as well as your beard."

"You lost your screws, didn't you?" Helios made a forced smirk. Yes, he has aged quite a bit for several millennia, but he isn't that old. That's what he probably thinks as he turns into denial of his age.

"Did I 'accidentally' hit the sore spot?"

He glares at him then lets out a sigh, "Is my daughter truly a traitor that sided with you?"

Abaddon contemplates for a while before raising his finger, "Yes, yet no."

'What a bother,' he hides his frown. As Helios turns silent, he takes the opportunity to talk with the entity inside his shadow.

"..my question..."

Abaddon hears Helios' faint voice as he returned from his consciousness. In a matter of seconds, he heard him again but clearer.

"Answer my question, Abaddon." A hint of an authoritative tone wraps his simple words; almost creating a misunderstanding.

Abaddon folds his arms and raises his head, looking straight at his brother's eyes. "Give me a reason why I should respond to an answered question."

Helios glances over at Irene who remains quiet and composed even when her hollow eyes express the conflicted emotions within her. His daughter is indeed intelligent but the wealth, status, and joy couldn't compare to the bliss of love.

"I want to hear it from your mouth and I believe everyone else would also desire to accept the truth from you."

Abaddon glances to his right and then to his left. Although the sharp stares don't fit quite the bit of what Helios said, however, he could see the effort he does to cleanse Irene's name.

"I took the identity of Drake, a young fire spirit, to take a bre—"

He felt some kind of pressure around his neck. "Ahem, let me revise."

"I forged the identity of Drake, a spirit affiliated with celestia and flame, to do my business when my dear niece saw me," he took a deep breath, "If it weren't for fate and her incompetence, I could never initiate my plans earlier than planned."

Callista scoffs at the end of it. She displays a somewhat smug or sly expression as she sneers at him, "The Former Celestial Saint was foolish to entrust her heart to a devil but I doubt that she trusted you over an accidental encounter."

"Trust me, woman. I did not charm her nor did I expect to meet her." Abaddon denies it with genuine honesty, very doubtful to be honest.

She narrows her eyes and then turns her head in Eric's direction. He follows her gaze which startles him with anger and surprise, "That damn crow..."

— AT THE NORTH

"How dare you!" he shouted.

She rolled her red, dull eyes. "Yes, how dare I caress your lovely wife with my filth?" said with an obscene grin.

The sounds of cloth ripping and giggling were a foul touch to the music of chaos. "Kassandra, stop the whining." A man in a worn-out, golden armor pleaded. His eyes were as dark as ebony and dull as the abyss.

"Why can't you mind your own business, Plato?" She said with a sneering tone.

Plato looked into her eyes and sighed, "If the west remains untouched, won't that man decide your immediate execution?"

Kassandra played with her fingers, soaked with a transparent but slimy liquid. Her eyes that glowed with lust went back to the dull red eyes.

Wiping her hands with a torn white cloth and yawned as if the night came.

A golden spear adorned with red rubies appeared in front of her. After equipping her armor, she held the spear and disappeared without a trace.

"You can consider yourself lucky. An unimaginable amount of people has suffered more than you and it's because of her", He squinted his eyes.

He threw a long white cloth that covered her upper body including her face, "And cover yourself, you might experience something worse than what happened." he added.

Plato disappeared the same way as Kassandra but their destinations were in different directions.

— SOUTH

The Second Army completed their conquest with the help of the Fifth Army and Abaddon himself. Results Those who lost were either severely wounded or dead.

Blood was smeared on the floors, walls, and ceilings of most buildings. Loud screeches are changed into silence.

"Abaddon, the Third Army has started their conquest at West", Plato reported.

"Alright," Abaddon replied without a thought.

The chances of his success have increased but he hasn't lowered his guard yet. Helios began to finally grasp the situation and found that Abaddon has taken ten steps ahead.

Meaning that Abaddon is confident and had planned this uprising of his, in advance.

"I agree, brother. Your gift is quite a surprise." Helios whispered with a worried grin.
