Live On

"...It has begun".

Apollo said whilst gazing high at the horde of depraved creatures seeping through the huge slit in the sky.

"hmm.. it seems I won't need to hold back like I've had to do for so many eons. I can finally..let loose!" Diablo said while giving a toothy grin.

Then with a huge burst of power Diablo's human appearance: black hair, black eyes, normal body physique turned ghastly once more.

Red aura seeped throughout his eyes turning them into cat like slits with the pupil becoming a scarlet red. His hair becoming bleached to the point it becoming ghostly white. His physique from a normal look became much more detailed and toned with his clothing turning into a white blazer, white trouser, black shirt and black shoe suit accentuating his more royal look.

"My, my well won't you look at that. It seems you've come to terms with your origins." Apollo commented while stroking his long beard.

"I've long ago come to terms with it." Diablo said staring intently at the massacre unfolding before his eyes.

"Start sending my baby to that damn world already before I start losing my patience Apollo!" Diablo spat out.

"You sure you don't want to name him young one?You will never see him again after today" Apollo asked gently.

"Him?" Diablo turned to apollo with unexplainable glee.

"Its a boy".

Diablo smiled at this then started making his way towards his wife who had been keeping quiet all the while still holding tightly to her newborn scared at the thought of letting go she might lose her baby forever. This however wasn't far off the truth.

Diablo sat down next to her staring in her eyes full of sadness that she will never see her baby again but hopeful to know that he will be safe somewhere else.

"Well my love? have you chosen a name yet?" Diablo said curiously

"what about Alex?" charlotte said

"Its cute." she explained

"uhh.. no." Diablo refused

Charlotte then looked back to her newborn whilst contemplating everyone she has ever met and trying to figure out which name would be deserving of their offspring. She stared intently for a few minutes at her baby then with a gleam in her eyes she looked up and finally said..

"How about Atreus then. It's a name that once belonged to a general that led in the great war against the Drakos. He led his people with a smile on his face and never showed any cowardice in the face of the strong. He pushed through everything and was an inspiration and a light for the people on the battlefield in those dark times. He was a respectable man. And he died with honour." Charlotte reminisced

"Atreus huh? I like it." Diablo agreed.

"From now on his name shall be Atreus Velcrova Cross." Charlotte announced

"Velcrova?" Diablo questioned

"He should at least have his fathers very cool second name don't you think?"Charlotte winked teasingly

"Fine" Diablo just sighed this off.

"Ahem ahem" Apollo coughed twice gaining the attention of the couple in front of him.

"I believe we should start soon" he quickly mentioned.

Diablo looked towards his wife and both agreed.

"Right!"

Then Charlotte got out of the bed while being helped by Diablo. He was now the one holding onto his son whilst making his way to the Markings Apollo had started making a while ago. Once they both stood in front of the old man for about 10 minutes it was complete. It looked to be a magic circle with many engravings on it.

"Now young one, place your child in the middle of the circle and begin your... sacrifice"

Diablo looked back down to his son which had barely a cloth around him and eyes has ebony black as the night sky, with the tiniest hint of crimson if looked at close enough.

"My son. Remember this if nothing else, I will forever remain in your heart. My love unwavering and my strength infinite. Me and your mother shall be instilled within your very core and you shall carry us with stride and pride. Always and forever."

Diablo stated this looking straight into his son's eyes.

Then Charlotte came over and she stated a few words..

" Atreus baby, I feel like one of the worst mothers on the planet for leaving you behind.. but fate really has it out for our family" she chuckled dryly

Then tears began to trail down her face once more but ones of joy.

" But always remember honey, mommy loves you, so take good care of yourself, you have to brush your teeth two to three times a day, you must shower atleast once every day to keep your hygiene. We wouldn't want the other kids making fun of you now would we? make loads of friends baby, you should never feel alone, get a girlfriend too but she must be one that I would approve I will not have my baby going out with a tramp that doesn't love you for you. God there is so much more I want to say but I'm afraid we're running out of time.."

Charlotte's tears and her smile unwavering it was something so many could never pull off be she did and it was beautiful.

Then the shattered sky although looked to be out of a nightmare did something extraordinary, it allowed some of the sunlight to seep through one last time and shone a light so angelic it would of made anyone faint.

No one however had any time to take it in for they were to busy dealing with their survival.. except for one woman, one extraordinary woman who was so very happy but so very sad.

This light seemed to be meant for her.

Then with the light shining on her silky smooth black hair gliding as elegantly as a bird soaring through the skies, she smiled at her newborn tears still never ending.

She held her baby closer to her face and kissed him on the forehead.

"Remember this, if nothing else I will always love you.. Always and forever.."

Both parents have made a spoken promise, a vow that will never go forgotten by their child. This was what he promised in his heart, he will never forget their words a day that he lives and the fire in his eyes proved it.

And with that both parents laid the baby in the middle of the circle, stepped back out of it, took one last look then together flew away in the sky.

Apollo seeing this scene in front of him shed a single tear a silent tear that expressed all the years of his peers and family working towards a singular goal, together laughing , smiling... being happy. He was reminded of many memories he though he forgot but was always there driving him forward.

Seeing those two holding each others hands knowing they will sacrifice the whole world including themselves for their newborn it was the most beautiful thing he has ever seen.

Then both looked back together holding each other close looking at their baby again for the last time looked at each other for the last time and whispered these last lines.

"I love you"

Both said simultaneously embracing in a kiss and with that they both started to light up a deep bright white light enveloped Charlotte while a scarlet red enveloped Diablo.

Then everything around them started to get envelopes by both lights too fading by each second until nothing remained.

Both still passionately kissing the whole world was being sent to sleep in the most peaceful way imaginable.

Then they too started to fade.

"I suppose it's my turn to finish my end of the deal" Apollo blinked out of his stupor.

Everything was ready. All he needed to say was the encantation and the newborn would of been sent to a paradise to start over.

Unexpectedly though a portal of red appeared our of nowhere whilst Apollo was almost finished.

It was the Drako.. but it felt different this one was more human like with horns and wings, no scales, claws or sharp teeth...

It was Deus level...

The king of the Drakos appeared.

"You don't mind if I crash this sentimental occasion do you?? heheheheh" The Drako started to cackle

Apollo was speechless he was almost done he couldn't stop now or else it would all be for nothing. He chose to believe he would be quick enough to finish so he kept chanting.

"My my, guess the rumours were true you Gods really gained the power of time and space" the person next to the Drako stated matter of fact.

"hehehe well let's just say that's a lucky break for us since we don't particularly want to perish. SOooooo we'll be hitching a ride with the little spit-fuck over their. kekekeke"

" For goodness sake can't you be a little more dignified than that. Atleast say child or kid instead of that filth?!?"

The one next to the Drako exclaimed.

"Oh pipe down princess, not like the fucker can understand me plus since when did I need to act 'dignified' like you humans. kekeke"

Whatever let's just get this over with.

Both waited till Apollo finished chanting and the second he did they both teleported in the middle standing right above the kid.

"NOOOOOO!!" Apollo screamed

"You fools, the circle was a one person trip, you'll all be swallowed into an oblivion then scattered across the cosmos!!!!" Apollo stressed this to the point he popped a blood vessel

"OH shut up will ya, your giving me a headache"

the Drako exclaimed and just like that the light of Charlotte and Diablo's life energy entered the room it evaporated Apollo but before it could reach them the circle lit up in a scarlet red and all three got enveloped by it and disappeared.

Then the light enveloped the world it stretched out across their universe leaving nothing behind .
