Abraham leading the group got down from the exit and was now on the floor of the settlement. When looking around at the walls, it looked like there were several tunnels that lead to the town. They had entered some of the first few houses, but they seemed to be void of any items whatsoever. There weren't even beds inside, but it was clear they were normal family structures.

As they entered the place, Happy could imagine a family living there, with all the different rooms, but while looking at the place she just wondered what happened there. Abraham did not tell them any more than it was a vampire settlement.

They entered a few more buildings on their way but still there seemed to find nothing. Eventually, they decided to no longer enter the small buildings as it seemed to be a waste of time. If they were going to find anything, it would be in the tower structure near the middle.

For the first time, as they got closer to the tower, it looked like some of the buildings had been destroyed. As if they had taken part in a battle. The top of them had crumbled to the ground and some structures no longer existed.

As they continued to approach, the group started hearing some noise notifying them of the presence of other creatures. Of course, Abraham had found since the beginning the location of all the beasts thanks to his wireframe vision that could even go through the walls of a building. But he remain silent as he was going to let the other deal with such a problem.

A few seconds after, they were completely surrounded by what looked like strange dog-like creatures. There were more than twenty and possibly, even more, in hiding.

[Basic tier beast - Furry hound]

[A beast who is blind but has sensitive hearing. It is able to locate its enemy's position even with the quietest of footsteps. It will often use its long tongue for attacks. The tongue is stronger than most.]

The dogs had no fur but displayed a slight tint of red on their skin. Their tounges were left out hanging wide from their mouth dangling. A bit longer than regular dogs and a little pointed.

However, the thing that looked creepy about them most was the fact that the dogs had no eyes. The long tongue with their teeth showing, but nothing, where their eyes were meant to be, was quite the frightening site.

"Pele, Julia, and Happy," Abraham called out to them. "The three of you will be the main ones to confront the beasts. Me, Gwen, and Robert will stay out of this fight. On top of fighting the beasts, you will also need to protect us. Gwen and Robert, you two will act as support and only intervene if the three find themselves in danger." Upon Abraham finished talking, Pele, Julia, and Happy immediately understood the complexity of this training.

Happy being the most experience among the three decided to take the lead. Among the three, she was the only that have participate in multiple beast hunting.

"All the beasts looked to be around the basic tier. As they have the appearance of a dog, they should be more agile-oriented. Also as they are missing the eyes, thus they must be using their other senses like hearing or smelling." Just from a few observations, Happy was able to find so much information.

The system hearing this from Happy's part decided to speak to Abraham. "She looks like she has spent some time leading a group. She is also very quick in analyzing the situation. She will make a great addition to your family."

"Yes, most of the people that were on the planet and have been trained by Zero(Sabre Hunt) are very good. As for turning her, I will let her decide on her own. With the way things are going, I'm expecting a positive response from her" thought Abraham.

At the same time, Pele moved to the left side of the group where one of the furry hounds was sprinting toward them. Pele extended his right hand and focus. Pele had finished his motion, and the attack had already left his hand. The distance between him and the beast wasn't great but Pele chose to use the blood swipe to try to finish the beast in one strike.

Hearing the attack through the air, the dog prepared to jump away but it was too slow, and as it turned, its body was sliced in half.

"Yes" exclaimed Pele. It was his first kill and after the disaster on the demon planet where he was overpowered by the basic beasts, he intend to become better.

Happy, who was leading the front came face to face with three beasts. She already drew her katana anticipating one of the hounds to pound at her. Instead, one of the dogs swung its head out, wrapping its tongue around Happy's katana. The dog tried to pull using its strength and Happy could feel herself being pulled toward the group. Happy immediately coated her hand with Qi and then, she pulled her arm with all her might, and the dog's tongue was completely dislodged from its mouth. She took action on the spot and went for the kill.

Having killed two soo easily seemed like a great achievement for Pele and Happy but when looking around, there was still lots of Furry hound present. As for Julia, she was the last line of defense, as she has just woke from her unconsciousness and was the least experience when fighting.

Observing the situation a little further, Happy concluded that the beasts were using their hearing sense to locate them and thus shared this news with the rest. Next, Abraham saw her picking some small pebbles from the ground. As she came near the hounds, Happy would throw a pebble hard on the ground making the hound's attention go toward the sound produced when the pebble hit the ground.

This would create an opening and Happy took action.

Pele on his side was soon going to be struck by reality. He was continuously using the blood swipe getting an easy kill each time. But after the fifth attack, he started feeling something else. A new type of hunger, his stamina was low and he found it difficult to produce more blood swipes.
