"Please work." With that thought, Abraham activated a skill with his hand on the Emberthorn beast's back.

The notifications kept sounding off in Abraham's head. "Hell yes." Abraham could just celebrate in his head.

At the same time, his health and mutated cells were continuously decreasing.

"Quicker, come on" Talking to himself, Abraham pressed both his hands on the beast and it seemed to have an effect.

Abraham was absorbing the fire at double the previous rate. As it was a demon-tier beast, it had one of the largest and strongest fire elements.

Fire engulfed Abraham's whole body. Abraham knew that if he let go, then the beast would not give him another chance to Abraham getting in contact with it.

The surprise element would be lost and the beast would engage in either a long-distance attack or could even completely escape the confrontation.

Having accepted the damage from the huge fire attack, Abraham could feel his hp draining rapidly.

He had put on the maximum protection available from all his arsenal. As the first layer, he had his Qi protection, then he had the shadow covering his whole body.

Still, the fire was so intense, that his hp got to a very dangerous level.

Then when his hp hit the last ten remaining, a blood skill activated.

Consuming the bloods, Abraham found his hp filled by a good amount.

At the same time, Abraham never let his hands separate from the beast, and thus the mana eater remained activated even during the beast's fire attack. Seeing that the attack did not cause the human to burn and die, the beast's irritation increased tenfold, and prepared the same attack again.

But this time, when Abraham was hit by the fire, it did not cause him the same damage. His hp has only decreased slightly.

It was time to end the fight. The beast, having his very essence stolen from him looked like a lifeless object. It remained there, without any agitation. Not wanting to cause the beast any more pain, Abraham gave a powerful blood swipe at close blank finishing the beast in an instant.

Looking down into the severed body that Abraham had created, he could see it. The crystal was hanging on a piece of the Emberthorn's flesh. It was so clear to him, clearer than any crystal he had ever seen before. As soon as Abraham pulled it, notifications started ringing nonstop.

For a second, Abraham thought that the evolution would begin and was actually relieved on seeing it fail. He wanted to do both the vampire and dragon evolution quest at the same time. They were not like the previous evolution where they were dependent on each other but Abraham wanted to evolve both the vampire and dragon bloodline at the same time.

"Should I have Andrew make an armor from this or do I absorb it?" thought Abraham as he looked at the beast crystal on his hand. In the end, he came to a conclusion. To use the fire ability, he needed mana, and right now with just the 17 mana, he had it was not enough if Abraham wanted to use the fire for more than one attack.

"Holy sh*t" Abraham never knew exactly how much he was going to get. He did not even have an estimation as it was no mention in the canon story of how much mana a demon-tier beast holds.

It was time to test the new power.

A new rush of power coursed through Abraham's body, making him feel intoxicated. With just a thought, he activated the fire ability and let it run wild. In such a moment, he felt the fire become one with him. Abraham was consumed by such an exhilarating feeling that he forgot about some little details. He was the only one with fire immunity and not his clothes.

They burned immediately but the nakedness did not matter to Abraham as his whole body resembled a human covered entirely with flame. Yet, Abraham did not feel a single discomfort.
