Nine

Finn's P.O.V

I didn't want to disgust Rosie, but I was becoming so thirsty and my throat burned. This will be something she will need to get used to.

"We need to talk to Dominic."

"About?" he asks.

"Arjun is claiming Rosabella is his mate."

"Shit, that sucks." Dominic says.

"He's not going back down either".

"Then that's going to be the deciding part whether we fight or not," Dominic remarks.

"I have been waiting to kill some werewolves anyway," says Cedric.

"Right now the treaty still stands, they come for Rosabella, then we will fight," says Dominic.

"I don't want to cause you trouble with the wolf pack," Rosabella says, looking at the ground. She was clearly upset. Her feelings were all over her beautiful face.

"We have had tension with the wolf pack for many years," says Dominic.

I nod my head. "Arjun may be lying about Rosabella being his mate Cedric," he remarks.

"I saw the way he looked at her, that isn't possible".

"Why are the vampires and the wolves fighting? Rosabella asks.

"The wolves are supposed to be not hunting in Bozeman, but they are, and we need to correct this before the humans start to question the many deaths."

"The animal attacks were werewolves?" Rosabella's mouth hangs open.

"Yes, and luckily there are many animals that live in the mountains, like Bears, Leopards and Bobcats. I don't think the public will find out anytime soon," says Dominic.

I hear Rosabella's phone go off. My eyes watch her leave. She looked upset, looking down at her phone. I use my super hearing to eavesdrop on her conversation. How am I going to deal with Josh? Is Rosie staying with the clan?

"I don't know what to tell you Josh," I hear her cry. He was yelling at her about the party. Clearly, he heard more information from members of the band. I look away when she walks in. I already knew what she was going to say.

"I need to leave,"she tells me.

"Why?" I already knew the answer.

"I need to talk to Josh," she responds.

"Okay, be careful Rosabella."

"Rosie," she raises a brow. I chuckle.

I threw her the keys to my bike. She smiles in excitement. " Don't make me regret this." I roll my eyes.

"I will." She laughs before walking out the door.

It wasn't long before I was pacing the floors. What if he hurts her? I would kill him. The most slow and painful death. I feel my fangs show at the thought. I hiss.

" She's fine" Cassandra laughs.

"Josh seemed really pissed."

"Quietly fellow her, she won't even know", Cassandra suggests.

I wanted to trust that Rosabella can handle this herself. I mean, I saw her take care of herself in many fights. She is so emotionally invested with Josh, and sometimes her mind and judgment are off. Will she understand when she is in danger because of him?

I rush out the door. The wind blows through my hair. The moon was full above, and I hear the howls of the wolves. Who is being eaten tonight? The thought makes me sick to my stomach. I have fought back my thirst many times. The burning in my throat caused me unbearable pain. If I can do this, so can the wolves.

I soon hear Rosabella's cries and the struggle of a fight. She was screaming, "Get off of me." That's all I need to hear to make him my prey.
