25 Painted on the ground

The traveler recoiled from Han as if from a sick person.

[ Did my words sound like swearing? My God, the tumors on her face turned red! Don't look at the tumors! Look into the eyes! At all costs, maintain eye contact! ]

Han directed all his efforts to suppress nausea.

The girl blinked often, as if checking her eyes for serviceability. The traveler took a timid step towards the guy. She cocked her head to the side. The unblinking red and purple lights froze.

[ I... I... what did I do? Maybe she's hungry?.. I mean, why would she just save a stranger? There are fewer altruists than we would like. What do werewolves and vampires eat?

Get it out of your head, Han, she doesn't want to eat you.

But even if she wants to. Will you be able to escape from the mix of a vampire, a werewolf and some other ultimate creature? ]

Mangaka put his head on one side. [ I must look pathetic right now ... damn! ]

The girl blinked.

She turned around and walked into the darkness. [ Should I follow her? ] Han heard the roar of night beasts in the distance.

"Don't leave me here... what if I can be useful as supplies for a rainy day?" [ Damn, I can't believe I said it out loud. What a meal I am. I'm as skinny as a branch ].

The traveler and the mangaka went to a remote mountainside. In one step, the girl overcame two meters. Han had to literally run.

"Do you have to walk so fast? Han stumbled over a root. The guy covered his head with his hands, preparing to collide with the ground. But the girl picked it up. A fleeting grin flashed across the traveler's face.

[ She's kidding me! ]

Han fell several more times. Finally, the girl carried the mangaka by the skin. The guy helplessly pulled his paws hung in the air. [ I feel like a pathetic kitten. Is it really impossible for this "lady" not to just step over entire kilometers? I'm not really a cripple, but I'm being carried.

They wear… Apparently she liked me. Most likely, she liked me as a dinner, but still. Maybe I was created to be eaten? I don't believe fate. Fate means that it is predetermined. My brother Kiut believed in free will.

He believed that a person can control everything... ]

Han took a deep breath. "I wonder what my future will be in this world?

Usually the heroes of the Issekai become great heroes. They defeat the world's evil, win princesses and just have fun.

I guess I'm not going to get that."

The traveler stopped. The light of a bright purple moon shone on the clearing. A lot of strange insects crawled on it.

The girl threw a stone. The field started up. The stems of the plants released thorns. They pierced large insects and they menacingly attacked the stone in a fit.

[ Do these plants ... control insects for self-defense? Wow! My inner biologist is elated.

However, I am concerned about what diseases are found here. After all, even ordinary tropical forests are full of deadly diseases.

And this other world with all sorts of devilry. ]

The traveler chuckled and turned back into the forest.

The girl froze in place again.

[ There in the bushes. It looks like a person. And it doesn't look alive. ]

A corpse with pale skin was lying in the bushes. The traveler parted the branches with her sword.

[ It's a girl. ] Han was surprised.

The corpse's limbs were Red and Purple. The head and torso had a deathly pale color.

His stomach was cut by strange symbols. A couple of ribs are torn out. The eyes are burned out.

Han turned away, terrified.

The traveler bowed to the corpse. Then she looked at Han. The girl's eyebrows rose of their own accord.

The traveler began to collect firewood. Han was standing nearby, also picking up dry branches. At one point, he grabbed a twig that was moving. A startled branch bit through Han's arm.

"Aaaaaahh!"

Han began to cry. The whole limb was numb. My head was spinning.

The girl sighed and sank her fangs into the place of the bite. It didn't hurt that much. The teeth only slightly bit through Han's skin. The guy tensed.

"Doctor, I hope you don't amputate me. I still need this hand!"

The traveler began to suck from the wound. Han blushed and turned away. After a couple of seconds, the numbness passed. Coolness filled my muscles.

"Oh, thank you. Is your race definitely cool, or is this the ability of one of your monsters? It seems that Summons are cultivated in this world. Although I want to believe that you belong to some cool race..."

Han did not stop collecting firewood.

The girl did not react in any way to the "crazy gibberish" of the guy.

So they both gathered firewood. The corpse was laid on a pile of branches. The girl brought the legs of the corpse together, spread her hands, put them separately above the head. Now the corpse resembled the letter Y.

The traveler knelt down, folding her fingers into a lock. Han followed her lead.

After kneeling for a while, the traveler got up and set fire to dry branches.

[ How I don't like to see corpses. They're not scary, no. The corpses themselves are not terrible. I am rather afraid of the thoughts that might have been floating in their heads before they died. Did that girl think she was going to die? Did she remember her relatives in her last moment?

Maybe death crept in unnoticed. And at that moment she was thinking about something ordinary, like fishing?

Now all her thoughts, dreams, secrets... where did they go? Maybe she was also reborn, but in another world? ]

Han wondered.

[ Could it be that there was a mistake during my reincarnation? I had to go to another world, but without my memories. Isn't that how proper reincarnation should work? ]

The girl watched Han's furrowed brows. Tired of waiting, the traveler pushed him in the side. "Lightly."

"And? Has the fire already managed to burn out? Okay, then let's go. It's a pity, of course, that I don't know your language. With your help, I could find Moyi and the Scarfkin."

[ Communication is not possible without knowledge of the language. Or is it possible? ] "Wait a minute…

Han suddenly had an idea. "If the language barrier interferes, it is necessary to use creative ways."

Han picked up a stick and began to draw on the ground. The red moon was replaced by a whitish one.

It shone quite brightly, almost like a tiny sun. Han could see without any problems.

The traveler looked at Han with bewilderment. Under the hurried swings of the twig, sketches were drawn. A set of four squares, each of which interfered with the scene.

The girl's mouth opened slightly. There was a bluish stump of a tongue sticking out of it. She was afraid to blink.

"Aaaaaahh," the traveler breathed hoarsely.

There are three people on the first panel: two girls and a guy. On the next one, they are lifted into the air. The faces of the three are distorted in horror. Then the landscapes that Han managed to notice change.

People are falling. The girls disappear in the forest, the guy collapses on the mountain.

Han completed an impromptu comic strip. He pointed at the faceless guy. Then look at yourself.

"Han!" Then poked at Moyi " Moyi!", and in the Scarfkin "Scarfkin!"

The girl scratched the tumors above her eyebrow. The traveler stared intently at the scenes.

[ I hope she understands me correctly. ]

But all the traveler sighed with a sigh. The girl poked her nose at Han. She sniffed the clothes carefully.

Han stood still, smiling shyly. [ From the outside, it looks indecent… Oh, my God! ]

The girl licked Han's shoulder. The guy turned red.

The traveler nodded. Then she sniffed the wind. Mangaka watched from the side, trying not to breathe once again. Having explored the air with her sense of smell, the traveler shook her head.

"I see. They're too far away. Even your excellent sense of smell can't help." Han looked down.

The girl poked Han lightly in the side. The traveler smiled, pointing in a certain direction.

"Is there a Moya and a Scarf? Or you have a plan to find them." The girl took the guy by the hand. They went in search of two poor girls.
