My Unique Evolution System

This book is no longer posting chapters because on top of the stress of school I also didn't like the story that I have created. You can read it if you like, I can't stop you from that. I seriously recommend though, instead of reading this book, you should read my new book New Creation. Thank you for stopping by and have a good day!

The Underwater Palace (2)

Luke was stuck, he wasn't sure which way to go and was trying to think about it logically, 'Well in games going downstairs usually means dungeon, but this isn't a game so maybe that doesn't apply here. So should I go upstairs? I don't think I should, I mean what if I find a throne room and there is a king, monster thingy. Then to the left or right hall... I DON'T KNOW! You know what I'm just gonna guess, my luck can't be too bad right...right?'

Luke then started to do ini mini miny moe, with his fins and he landed on the downstairs, 'Well I better stick with my word, I'll go downstairs.'

Luke headed downstairs with gusto in his swim, he was making himself confident in his choice, even though he wasn't actually confident in himself.

The farther he went downstairs the hotter it got, it got to the point where Luke couldn't handle it anymore and decided to go back. When he started to go back though he couldn't move his body whatsoever, so he guessed that once you made a choice you couldn't go back on it, 'Great, just great, of course the path I choose just so happens to be the bad on, how can I get out of this without becoming a fried entrée.'

Luke got an idea and decided to try it, he started to control the water around in a way that made the water colder so that the water wasn't unbearable anymore, and with that, he made his way farther downstairs, but the water just kept on getting hotter to the point where he couldn't handle it anymore, 'Well that was short-lived, I guess I only have one choice, SWIM AS FAST AS POSSIBLE, AKA WATER GUN TIME!'

Luke then used his water gun technique and shot himself down the staircase and as he was going he felt the water getting so hot that if he swam threw he would end up getting cooked alive, 'Good thing I have this technique. I'll have to thank the whale when I get back.'

Luke was going very fast, yet he had not reached the bottom of the staircase, and it was just getting hotter, 'AHHHHHH, IT BURNS LIKE I'M STANDING IN THE SUN, WHO DECIDED IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO PUT A MINI SUN IN THIS PLACE!'

Eventually Luke lost momentum and when he did he reached the end of the stair, but it was extremely hot like he was in the sun. He quickly started to run down the hall when he saw a door that opened automatically like it was awaiting his arrival, and when he entered the door the overwhelming heat was swept away like a pile of leaves in the wind.

When Luke entered the door shut tight behind him and when Luke looked back and tried to open it didn't budge even a little bit, "You can stop trying to open the door, I won't be opening it since you have finally come, chosen one."

When Luke heard the person speaking, he got shivers down his spine, and when he looked behind him he saw a woman with a crown on her head, but the most striking feature was that she had the top half of a human, but the lower half of a fish, 'IT'S A MERMAID?!'

Luke was looking at her up and down, she had dark blue hair, but at the same time, it was light blue or even all shades of blue. It was hard to explain, it was more like her hair color the was ocean itself. Her face was very cute to Luke, but the more he looked at it the more he thought that the face belonged to a warrior used to combat than a pretty girl's face. At this point when he was going to look at her chest he had expectations as a man, but when he looked he just saw a chest resembling a cutting board, he wasn't upset though, Luke thought that chest size doesn't matter that much but he was a tiny bit disappointed. Her tail was magnificent, like a true mermaid you hear in fairy tales, it was the basic shade of blue and green, but there was something very magnificent about it.

Luke was so busy looking at her that he didn't realize that his mouth was gaping so wide that someone could use it to play cornhole. After looking at the mermaid with his ridiculous expression the mermaid started laughing gently, "Hahaha, you are a funny one dragon, or should I call you a human? It's strange although you are a dragon you have the soul of a human, not any human though, in fact, I wouldn't even call you a human anymore. You are more like a hero instead of a human."

"A what? Could you elaborate more on that?"

"Oh it doesn't matter I need to talk about more important things besides just you, plus if I'm not fast enough, I might disappear before I'm able to finish. So let's start, you see our world is in grave danger, there is a future calamity that will fall upon Korithia, so grave in fact that no one in this world will be strong enough to resist it, except you of course and one other. You see I have been stuck in the place for hundreds even thousands of years waiting for the fated one to find me and it seems that the fated one is you."

"I was very happy when you entered because after this I will finally be able to rest in peace. Sadly I wasn't able to lead you here completely because of certain rules set in this place, but you were smart enough to overcome them all, as the future savior of our world should be. The people on the planet have figured out the power around them far too slowly, you have come here only a couple thousand years after they learned how to cultivate, that may seem like a lot, but it truly isn't, most cultivation worlds have discovered cultivation eons ago."

"I am not able to tell you what or when the catastrophe will take place, but all you need to know is that it will happen, and you need to be a lot stronger than you are now."

"Good luck chosen one, I will leave this with you for now. May your journey in this world be one with hardships and torture as to grow stronger of course, goodbye!"

The mermaid then disappeared and Luke was left there, lost for words, 'I think this means choosing to go downstairs was the right choice.'

Thank you for reading. Lol, I was totally lost for ideas in this chapter when I decided to go down this route and I wrote 700 words-ish in under twenty minutes.

Shameless auther moment, a power stone, and/or a review would be appreciated a lot.
