The Swordman Loves Not Onion
The translation is so bad, it made me want to drop it from the first chapter. Webnovel so fricking greedy they just accept anyone as translator when the translator is not even qualified like this one. Did they not have an editor and proof reader? Who the fk want to read when the translation quality is so bad? Even a good novel will become a bad novel because of the translation. Stop butchering a good novel and get a good translator ffs.
As far as I'm concerned, this is the third story that I have read that allows the mc to pick attributes from things and get stronger. One being the "Complete Martial Arts Attributes". The other being "Picking Up Attributes From Today". Basing this story off of these two, while sad to say it is a slight let down. CMAA is funny witty and very cringy. PUAFT isn't as cringy as the first but has a sorta of novel feel to it. This story while starting out on a different note lacks that quality. On the plus side, its a story about attributes and I always welcome them. Have a good day/night.
Very good novel, nothing really stood out as amazing, but the reason I liked it so much was because nothing stood out as being bad either (this is pretty rare, usually I find many things to criticize in a novel lol). The highlights of the novel are more subtle, doing the little things well so the novel flows smoothly. The best I've read so far in the "picking up attributes, xp, etc" genre. Mc is pretty op and does a good job of using his cheat and trying to stay out of trouble. I like his sinister style of doing things, using dirty tricks to win without caring about his image. The side characters are good and there isn't much cliche stuff. The world is pretty dark and the character interactions seem more realistic to me compared to most novels on here. I read up to ch276 before writing this.
An above-average story brought down a little by its poor translation quality. It's not as bad as some people are suggesting by comparing it to MTL, but it certainly isn't all that great. If you skip the random sentences that don't make sense, the novel is still readable. One thing to note is that you will find the usual arrogant dumb characters trope, though thankfully a bit watered down. Overall, it's better than a lot of other garbage, but it isn't exactly a high tier novel. Mid level novel, good if you don’t have other exciting stuff.
One of the best trial so far; great premise and good story development. MC started off with a better and logical background which is plus itself. Writing Quality ★ ★ ★ • Though the story is great some words are jumbled or are connected with each other example: (after, hedied)(let go.He run) and some words that aren't good with eah other or a little bit confusing. Story Development ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ •Though it has a similar system as some novel here which has like collecting EXP; it has different story to it which isn't a copy paste of other novels. The MC started of from the bottom and is continuously rising through his EXP collecting. Though there are some clichés it isn't to the point that it's on every chapter. Character Design ★ ★ ★ ★ •MC's quite smart (surprisingly) and is rational to what he's doing (surprisingly). He's not lazy and is very hard-working due to his EXP colllecting system, not like the other MC with system that always complains like a child who always wanted to be spoonfed. Anyway, MC is calculative with his move, though he has poor roots and vitality, he still compensate it with his EXP collections. Updating Stability ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ •No comment here World Background ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ •It's the average xianxia/xuanhuan world building where it started off from a small town to a bigger sect to another country. That's every chinese xianxia/xuanhuan in a nutshell. But, I applaud the author for integrating newer sects and not using generic sects. Overall 4.4, though this may change in the future.
