Chapter 13 The notebook

"Mason, I heard from my parents that your dad is planning on going back abroad,"

"Mmmmh," Mason hummed as he got into the car.

"Are you going back home for dinner? You haven't been home in a while plus you won't have a chance to see him in months," Miles said.

"I might go,"

"Should I go with you?"

"No need," he replied nonchalantly.

"Try not to argue with him this time,"

"I won't even have that time to do so," he said calmly.

Mason and his dad were not always on good terms. Mason's dad was a control freak it was one of the reasons why he drove Mason's mother away but since he couldn't control Mason they would always end up arguing. As soon as he got into high school, Mason moved out of the family mansion to start his own life despite his father's opposition.
