14 Brother...

"Let's go and talk, Shall we?"

Jamie's smile drops as she looks at him confused. "What...? NO. We don't need to talk about this with the boss. I am okay." She says nodding and shaking her hand in front of him. He laughs and grabs her hand putting them down on either side of her body. "No. I mean. Let us go and talk. Coffee?"

"Aaa... Okay." Jamie replies as she smiles playfully smacking her fist within her hand. "Let's go then," Liam says gesturing her to walk and as she steps ahead, Liam wraps his arms around Jamie's shoulder making her flinch at the sudden contact. She distances herself a bit from Liam with a shocked shriek escaping her lips. Liam chuckles observing her expression. "You know this is common between bros, right? And from now on we will be seeing each other often so we are bros too. don't you agree?"

"Huh...? Oh... Yeah. Right... bros like brothers. Of course, I know that. " She says stuttering as Liam looks at her like she is crazy. "Yeah." He says awkwardly laughing at her response. "I think you have never been asked to be a brother? Have you?"

"NO." She replies smiling at him. "I never had a friend but a sister who became my friend. Thank you for being my friend sir. And moreover, you asked me to be your brother. I am glad." She replies with a bright smile full of gratitude and happiness. "Ah. You are sure too cute for a boy. I feel like I need to protect you from this world. You seem so innocent. " He says as Jamie widens her eyes amused by his words. "N-No... Hehe. Actually I would be glad if you would do that, Sir."

"Uh-huh, What did I say?" He says with a glare as Jamie raises a brow confused but she smiles once she realizes her mistake. "Sorry. Brother." Liam nods his head and wraps his arms around her which she doesn't defy as she did just before. They head to the cafeteria.

As they reach the cafe, They take place. Liam stands up and goes to the line for coffee. Jamie smiles feeling all giddy and happy. She felt warm and this new feeling was somewhat comfortable for her. She felt as if she could lean on him, as a sister does on her brother.

[I want this feeling to remain forever. It feels so good.]

She smiles at her own thought. Soo her trance gets disturbed with a hand appears in front of her eyes. She flinches and looks at it to see Liam placing they coffee in front of her. She laughs shaking her head at her foolishness. Liam chuckles seeing her and takes a seat just opposite to her. "So tell me how is working with Ethan? I know how it must be but I want to listen to it from you." He says smiling warmly at her but she fidgets with her fingers conflicting whether it would be okay to say anything about her feelings towards her boss who apparently is her boss's friend. "It's okay. It will be a secret between you and me. I promise." She smiles scratching her forehead and take a sip of her coffee.

"Actually... He is so rude and acts like a beast. I swear I will kill him someday." Once she says the last part she blocks her mouth with her hands as she could hear Liam laughing and she curse under her breath. "I know how he acts in front of others. But believe me, he is not what you see." Liam says still giggling. "Okay. Sorry..."

"Don't be. Everyone thinks and says the same. You are not the only one." He says slightly tensed with his words and Jamie could sense the sadness in his tone and his eyes. "Then why does he make others feel like that and torture them. You should have seen how he glares at me as if he wants to kill me. " Liam giggles again listening to her words.

"And moreover you know today he... he... ugh..." She stops herself from remembering the incident with her boss in the office. "What did he do today?" Liam asks sipping his coffee and his eyes still fixed on her. "Today he um.. actually I fell asleep in the office. Because I had no work and I was left alone in the office. I felt bore."

"You slept? OMG! You are so brave." Liam laughs while Jamie glares at him. He stops laughing and sits straight sipping his coffee. "What did he do? Yelled at you or gave you tons o work?" He questions with a serious face but he was trying hard not to laugh at her glaring at him looking so cute. "NO! He did much more than that. He threw water on my face and insulted me." Jamie huffs sipping her coffee aggressively as she imagines herself killing the boss of hers. Liam spits out his coffee and eyed her with surprise and amusement. "He did what?"

"You heard right. He threw WATER on my face." She says spelling each letters loud and pointing at her face. "Then he insulted me saying I slack at work and I don't deserve to be here at this position." Liam then looks at her with worry. "I am sorry for that. He is not someone who does things like that. He prefers to stay out of the people way as much as he can rather than messing around."

"You don't need... to say sorry. It's him but it's okay. It's better if I forget this." Jamie signs sipping on her coffee.

"You are such a good boy." He laughs and approaches her ruffling her hair. "But really, he is not that bad. He really hates that he is having a secretary. Just cope up with him for a few days or months. Once he feels comfortable around you... He will be the real Ethan around you."

"You really think so, Brother?" Jamie questions rolling her eyes at his statement. Liam nods smiling at her. "Okay then. I will try to control my anger around him for more."

"Good."

She then looks around and her eyes find the watch placed on the wall of the cafeteria. She widens her eyes as she realizes what time it had been. "Oh shit! Ahh! He will surely kill me. ugh.." She says jolting up from her seat with the coffee of her hand. She placed the coffee in the dustbin beside her and turn around facing Liam. "I really need to go. I think it would be my last day here. It as nice meeting you, Brother. Thanks a lot. I feel better."

With that, she dashes out from the cafeteria without listening to Liam's reply. Liam chuckles as h stare at Jamie's figure disappearing from his sight. "It was nice meeting you too Jamie. I hope you will really stay alive. Or should I help?" He says thinking aloud with himself. He smirks the smiling at himself before sipping his coffee to empty. He stands up and disposes of it in the bin. He walks away smiling to himself.

"It's time paying you a visit, dear brother." He smiles to himself.
