Chapter 51: Waste of Effort

"Mr. Novak, can you please be straight to the point?" Zachary Janell grumbled.

"Mr. Janell, before the incident, my wife took the elevator to the upper floors of the mall. The up and down elevators are located in different places. How did your daughter run into my wife?"

"She almost pushed my wife down the stairs. It was me who caught my wife in time. Could you take responsibility if anything had happened?"

"Your daughter almost fell down the stairs too. I pulled her back, indeed pulling some of her hair in the process. But, between physical injury and hair, which is more important, do I even need to point that out?"

"Your daughter didn't even express gratitude and instead charged like a lunatic at me unexpectedly. I pushed her away and she fell down the stairs."
