Prologue | Unedited

I woke up to the sound of fighting, literally.

I open my eyes and see a blur of red flying towards me, knocking me out again.

------

The next time I wake up, I hear a different kind of fighting, verbal this time.

Unknown female 1: "This is all your fault, if you had just left when I told you too, the car wouldn't have crashed, the host wouldn't have died and I certainly hadn't had to use 99.7% of my soul points to revive the host!"

A angry young voice says.

Unknown female 2: "I'm not responsible for any of this, the host just has bad karma. Which I was sent out to fix! I'm not gonna consent to you throwing all the blame on me just because you are to afraid to admit that you took a liking.. to the exact person who's in all earnesty is a heartless moneymaker, and whom you knew had been handpicked out of billions of people for a redemption system, and tried to force said system, ME! Out of her mind so you could take over, and earn more soul points!!!"

A more mature voice responds.

Unknown female 2: "Besides it's not like you did all the work, I used Almost 95% of MY soul points to transfer us to this new world,... Where is this anyway..?!"

While this first part sounded just as angry as the former word sprews the latter part ended in a almost uncertain tone of voice.

However it did the trick to wake me up from my daze and as I sat up I noticed two bizarre looking girls, looking at me as if they just noticed I was there.

One was a teenage girl (probably 14-15 years old), dressed totally in red with ink black hair, rich cocoa shaded brown skin and crimson red eyes in the phoenix shape that many of my countrymen so adored.

Her temperament was like a wild flame but her youthful appearance softened the blow and gave her a feisty look, but even so looking into her fiery eyes I immediately knew that she wasn't to be underestimated. This was someone who would kill if offended.

I also recognized her as the person who had knocked me out earlier on.

That didn't however calm me as I knew that meant that the older woman was far more dangerous, if she was capable of throwing this girl around.

Concluding that I turn to look at the older woman…. Who turned out to be way younger than I originally estimated her to be. She looked to be around around 22 or maybe 23 years old. Had snow white hair, a slightly darker pearl shaded skin tone and beautiful blue peach blossom eyes, yet another kind of eyes favored by my countrymen, the color however was just as unexpected as the first girls had been, cause not only where they blue, they where a unique deep sky blue, that remineded me of cloudless lazy sunny days and happier times. And she seemed to be the very definition of just that, lazy. Earnestly I wouldn't be surprised if she was to start licking her hand like a paw and slicking sun right there on the green grass, she reminded me of a cat model I'd seen in the news called Coby, a British shorthair known for his stunning looks. The slightly cold and lazy temperament was just like that of a white, blue eyed feline.

Suddenly I felt bad about myself, I had always been pleasant looking but only at the average everyday level, and being 30+ had not helped in the slightest, only a abundant and costly amount of luxury skincare had allowed me to stay wrinkle free in the past and even doing that much had become a bit of a stretch for the expensive but unfortunately not time-defying face creams and masks.

Just recently I'd found a wrinkle in my eye area and i had nearly thrown out all of my skincare products, what was the point of using them when they obviously didn't work!!

I had however taken a step back when I'd realized the truth, that with a lifestyle of longhaul flights, minimum to no sleep, and little to no exercise + eating less and less over time due to the stress, nausea and headaches that had followed me through my adult life…. The expensive products simply hadn't stood a chance, it was a miracle that i didn't already sport crows feet around both eyes!

Now standing here in front of two gorgeous girls, i realized that i was long overdue for a mental health break. Since when had i become the kind of superficial woman who would envy others good look and diss my own face which could be considered as aging well among my fellow business women (a sadly low standard considering that most women in my line of work aged very fast due to the very same stress that had been plaguing me).

Now once again firmly content with being of average looks and aging rapidly in exchange for riches, a certain heartless moneymaker felt that she needed to figure out why she was standing in the middle of a desert land with 2 uniquely fairytale character looking ladies.

So she started with the most rational responce, she fainted.

-----

As a mature and intelligent woman, she had never perceived herself as frail but after passing out not only once but a recordbreaking 3 times in a day, she suddenly realized the importance of a healthy lifestyle, with the nutrition and exercise to match. She had never felt so weak in her life. And it wasn't only due to her mental fatigue, it was also a primal and basic kind of weakness, like she had gone without food and water for days and was on the brink of death.

It was not a very nice feeling.

As she opened her eyes for the 3rd time that day she meet the eyes of the two ladies who we're standing over her, wearing identical expressionless facial expressions. Underneath however I could she a glimt of unease, guilt, and anger.

Clearly she wasn't the only one who wasn't sure what to make of this entire situation, a fact that also made me feel uneasy. It was right at that moment that my brain was filled with glimmers and memories spanning 17 years, not mine but belonging to a young girl, born in the rich matriarchal clan of the Salt mountain which had no men, as the only daughter of the clan priest, and was known by all as the prettiest girl in the tribe, she had lived a life of luxury until it was decided by the clan elders that she should be sent to another tribe to be married off to their clan leader. Causing the young girl to run away in the middle of the night, mistakenly thinking that she could survive without a clan, it was already good enough that she hadn't been eaten by wild animals instead she was starving and dehydrated, causing her weak body to give in almost immediately and she died.

Knowing that this was not her memories but the memories of the body she had apparently taken over her immediately reaction was to do something.

So instead of doing literally anything else she started laughing.

It didn't sound good.

Her voice was hoarse and cracked and the laughter itself was not happy and carefree but instead crazy and full of exasperation.

She had died and woken up in a primitive world, at that moment she tippered on the edge of insanity and decided that a quick drip couldn't hurt. Apparently however the long, crazy headless laughter had been enough to tire out her new weak, young body and instead of passing out, this time, she just feel asleep.
