16 Night

It's the first time that Bang met this man and already there was a warning. He didn't expect that this would be their first impression seeing that there was a misunderstanding before.

"What do you mean by that."

Bang said that in an inquisitive tone. Tab had been nice to him since the first time he met him. There was no indication that he had malicious intent, at least Bang thought so. But just in case, Bang listened to the story of the ball faced man.

"I meant it just like I said it. Don't trust that man."

Bang now sat near the man. Looking at his serious face, he knew he wasn't kidding around.

"Why? Why should I trust you? I also don't know you."

The ball faced man took out his hand and put it for Bang to reach.

"I'm Lobo. You?"

"Bang. That's Ligi."

Bang reached out for the hand and shook it.

"Okay Bang, you should never trust merchants."

"But you're working for one."

"Yeah but that doesn't mean I trust the guy."

"Well, I don't completely trust the guy either."

"........okay, that's good. That was just a warning for your sake. I don't care what you do or who you trust just don't get in our way."

"We have an agreement then."

Bang and Lobo just had a staring contest for a few seconds until Bang felt awkward and broke the eye contact.

He just stayed there at their camp for a little while. Everyone ignored him and he finally left with Ligi after a while. They went into their designated tent that Tab prepared for them. It wasn't big nor small but it was cozy and enough for the two of them.

Bang went inside the tent and just tried to sleep. Thankfully, Ligi stayed outside to protect while he slept comfortably in the tent.

After an uneventful night, Bang woke up from his tent. He went outside and the sun wasn't out yet. The guards were preparing their stuff and food were given out to everybody for the long journey ahead.

Ligi was just sitting near the tent observing his surroundings. Sometimes Bang would kind of pity Ligi for always being in charge of security, but Ligi probably liked to protect his savior.

Bang saw Tab who was mowing down a ton of food. As far as he could remember yesterday, Tab only ate a few foods since they met. He was probably one of those who stock up on food during the day.

After setting up the horses and feeding them, the guards led them to the caravan. Once everything was done, they set off once more into the stone road.

Bang stayed on the caravan because as a former lazy bum who never went out of his room, he would naturally choose to sit instead of walk. After about three hours of traveling and the sun already in the sky, Bang legs started to twitch.

He never felt this way before. He had to stretch his legs just to stop the itch. It would only stop for seconds until the twitch would start again. He finally had no choice but to go outside and walk with the caravan for a bit.

Never in a million lives would Bang choose to voluntarily walk instead of sit. But then again, he was never this fit either. Once he was out of his seat and started walking, his twitch stopped and he felt his legs more comfortable. He guessed that the previous guy was the complete opposite of him and loved to go out and walk.

He felt the cool breeze of the wind as well as the hot radiation of the sun. As he walked with Ligi just a few steps behind him, he noticed the stone road became more polished. It felt like this part of the road was given more care than the one they traveled to before.

Trees also started to appear although sparsely. There were still giant boulders around but it was less than before and it was now mingled in with the trees.

He kept up with the caravan and stayed away from the guards because that is where there would be danger the most.

Traveling for more hours, the sun finally reached it's zenith. It was now fully hot in the sun and Bang immediately got in the caravan.

He got his exercise and now he wants to cool down in the shade of the cart. There was no way he would trek with the sun blazing out in the open.

Having nothing to do, Bang got a little bit bored. But Bang was thankful for this boredom which meant that there were no dangers nearby. Tab alleviated that boredom by initiating a conversation.

"So Bang, what do you plan to do once you get to Suno town."

"You know, there is some things that I need to take care of but no solid plan. What about you?"

"I'll just drop off my shipment and probably travel again after a few days."

"Oh, well good luck with that."

"Thanks, and if you need help just contact me through the merchant's guild."

"Thanks, will do."

After that brief conversation, silence once again reigned in the caravan. Ligi was still focused on protecting Bang and always kept silent and to himself. Bang was bored so he just looked out into the open and observed his surroundings.

Out there in the horizon Bang could see mountains and hills of all sizes. But so far, he has not seen another civilization out here in the wild. Not even a village. Speaking of a village, didn't he have an option to unlock a village?

'System, what is that village option in the store?'

'Owner can unlock a village that he can own and take care of in the future.'

'Why would I do that?'

Bang was confused of this village option because it doesn't seem like it could benefit him in any way. He would need an enormous amount of resources to do that. He didn't even know the first thing about managing a village.

'Information locked, please complete more main quests in order to unlock this information.'

'Okay, sure. It's not like I'll unlock this any time soon. I would rather spend my time powering up my crew or even unlocking more crew members in the future.'

Now that Bang saw the power of a crew member, he now had faith in the system that told him he should get more crew members. If he couldn't protect himself, he'll find someone who will. If he can't fight, then he'll find someone who will.

'Then how about that ship option?'

'A ship can allow owner to explore and traverse the oceans filled with Limaws and unexplored lands.'

'Again, why would I do that? Being here seems dangerous enough. Why would I put myself in that position? Why would I risk my life for exploring some unknown land?'

'Information locked, please complete more main quests in order to unlock this information.'

'Looks like there are some mysterious things about that.'

Bang decided to ignore this because this won't benefit him in the moment. He can't even worry about this because he didn't even have enough wisdom points to unlock one option.

After a few more hours of nothing happening, the sun finally set and the sky became dim. The guards looked for a more suitable place to set up camp.

Like before, tents were set up, food was prepared and given out, and groups stayed awake as a guard for the night.

Bang went to bed thinking of the possibilities that will happen once they get to Suno town. He will probably complete his self defense quest first because he needed something to protect himself ASAP.

Ligi stayed awake until Bang slept and waited an hour before going into bed. They both slept well into the night.

Suddenly in the deep night, there were movement in the camp. Some shadows danced in the moonlight and hurried their way into somewhere in the camp. Nobody noticed this. Even the guards who were on night duty slept. In their mouths is what seems like white powder that was forcefully ingested into them.

Everything was going well for their robbery until something woke Bang up. He suddenly got an alert in his mini map. There was an intruder near him, at least somewhere within 4 meters of him. This was the first time that he got to use this map and a very timely way too.

He got up suddenly which made the tent move in the still night. Bang opened his eyes and he looked around and imagined his mini map. In the map, there were two who were in the vicinity but there was only one who was uncomfortably close to him. The intruder was just outside his tent.

In the light of the moon, he could see the silhouette of a man with a blade on his hand. This blade suddenly went down and pierced his tent and continued to reach Bang.

Fortunately, it was suddenly stopped by a shield.
