Wang Yuju's Return [4]

"You bad liar, turn around!" Wang Yuju froze like a statue when she heard Li Ming's voice from behind her... She stiffly turned her head around and saw an infuriated Li Ming. Initially, she thought that she was already good at acting but this guy would've won an award just with this acting of his.. She was planning to give him a surprise, at last he gave her a surprise instead..

Wang Yuju didn't know whether to laugh or cry when she saw him. She was just frozen on her spot. 15 whole years... Not only his voice but also his face; everything looked the same except for the fact that he grew taller and became more handsome. She didn't know why but her tears kept falling down when she saw him. She tried to hold it back but failed; their memories together kept flashing in her mind.

Li Ming was mad at her but when he saw her crying all of a sudden, his heart ached as if someone was squeezing it. He instinctively took her in his embrace. "Silly girl, I missed you a lot.." Wang Yuju said while sobbing, "I missed you too.." He patted her head gently, "Now stop crying.. You don't look good when you're crying.." His words were like magic; she stopped crying and embraced him tightly.

The two of them were so engrossed with themselves that they didn't notice the people who were watching them until a certain old man coughed. "That's enough; are we watching a drama or something?"

Xia Meng also added with her arms crossed, "I feel like this public display of affection is too much for us to handle mainly single dogs like me; you two just get married already, okay!" Hearing that, Wang Yuju pulled out from his hug and nudged her best friend lightly, "What are you saying, Xiao Meng.. By the way, I won't let you off for selling me out!" Xia Meng froze and smiled at her, "Eh, Yuju, I think I'll get going now; I suddenly remember I have to go pick up my sister!"

Wang Yuju grabbed the back of her collar and smirked knowingly, "Oh, Xiao Meng, I didn't know you had a sister.." Her words made all of them laugh. Li Ming suddenly asked, "Uncle and Auntie, can I take Yuju out somewhere?" Wang Yuju looked at him curiously. Her father, Wang Yu Jie agreed with a broad smile on his face, "Ah Ming, you can take her wherever you want anytime!" His words sounded like he was saying 'She is yours anyway; take her away!'

As for Wang Yuju's mother, Lin Jia, she advised them softly, "Do return back home early!" Her father added, "Oh right, I'm holding a welcome party tonight and come home early like your mother said!" Wang Yuju smiled as she said, "Pa, you don't need to hold a party for me! I'm fine-" Wang Yu Jie looked at his daughter and cut her off. "You're my daughter, Wang Yu Jie's daughter. I want to let the whole Beijing to know that my precious daughter has returned!"

Yuju was about to object her father when Li Ming also chimed in, "Yuju, I think what Uncle said is right; since you've returned, everyone should know about it! And by the way, it'll be your first public appearance after total 15 years.. So it is a great idea." Wang Yuju looked at all of them waiting for her decision and sighed before nodding her head. 'It's not that I don't want to appear in front of public but I'm afraid I'll panic once I get into public's eyes.. After all, it's been whole 15 years.. But Ming is with me so I guess I'll be fine with it..'

Seeing her approve, Wang Yu Jie and Lin Jia hurriedly said, "That's great then! Ah Ming, take her away!" Xia Meng giggled as she escaped from her clutches when she saw Yuju not paying attention, "I'll see you at the party!", and she ran away. Her grandpa warned Li Ming sternly, "You young people, don't fool around outside and return home fast! And don't mistreat my lovely granddaughter otherwise I'll complain to Yui (Li Ming's grandpa)!"

He continued, "Oh, talking about Yui, I heard that he was sick. As I was out of the town that time, I couldn't contact or meet him. How's his health now?" Wang Yu Jie was shocked, "Huh? Uncle Yui was sick? What happened to him?" Wang Yuju looked at Li Ming with worried expression, "Is Grandpa Yui fine now?" Li Ming took her hand and softly said, "He's fine." Then he turned to face everyone, "He had a small heart attack because of some matters but it was not that serious. And he's currently at home, having a good rest. So don't worry."
