1 Mysterious Game

In a futuristic world, where humans have finally entered the interstellar era, a mysterious virtual reality game took over the entire world.

The game was called 'New Possibilities'.

According to the description of the game, one will became a village chief or an adventurer depending upon the legacy they received at the beginning.

These legacies were divided into different grades. Normal, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Epic and Legendary.

Depending upon this legacy, the grade of their initial village was decided.

The game world was atleast ten times the size of earth. And this was only based on estimations.

Countless world famous companies, groups and families were investing in this game. In just one month the total number of players has reached more than five billion. Almost one fifth of the world's population was a player.

It has been a month after the release of the game 'New Possibilities'.

Azrael has finally turned 16, the age required for one to enter the game. This age limit was imposed as the game world was truly dangerous as well as cruel.

It was definitely not for children.

Azrael was an ordinary school student. He wasn't great in studies nor was he a rich kid. In fact he didn't even have a family.

Compared to others, he could be considered a bit handsome but not so much that each and every girl would fall over the heels for him.

After the release of the game, Azrael has been saving money in order to buy the gaming cabin. Since the advancement of technology, the price of the gaming cabin was somewhat cheap, only 1000$.

This sum was although not small for ordinary families, they still wouldn't feel pained if they were to spend it a few times in a month.

As the gaming cabin was fixed, Azrael quickly jumped into it. He clearly could not wait anymore.

As he entered the gaming cabin, he pressed the start button and selected the option showing 'New Possibilities'.

Azrael felt a bit dizzy as he appeared in world of clouds. This was the opening scene for new players.

As a notification popped up, countless white orbs appeared in front of Azrael. These orbs represented the legacies. But what they can get depends completely on luck as all the orbs looked the same.

"Okay. So let's first walk around here to see if there are any orbs that appears strange."

Azrael muttered what he learnt on the internet as he started walking on the clouds. The clouds didn't felt too soft instead they felt like soft snow. So Azrael could walk with much trouble.

He moved in one direction then in other, trying to find an orb that looked out of place.

Time passed by quickly. Fifteen minutes later.

"F*ck! They all look the same."

Azrael couldn't hold back any longer as he cursed. These orbs looked completely same. There wasn't even a single difference that he could find.

Just as he was about to give up and choose a random orb, his eyes feel on a particular orb. Azrael felt something as he moved towards it.

When he reached near it, he finally realised why it appeared different. The white glow on it was a bit dull compared to others. Also it looked at the other orbs near it, he found that they stayed out of a 10-metre radius from this orb.

Azrael pondered for a bit and finally decided to choose this orb. As his fingers touched it the white orb disappeared as a notification popped up.

[Legacy of the God King (Unique)]

"Fortunately, there was a legacy in it."

Azrael sighed in relief as he finally got a legacy. Atleast he didn't have to become a adventurer.

In this game, a person can either become a lord or an adventurer. Just from this one could say what was better. Although becoming an adventurer wasn't bad, but it still couldn't be compared to being a lord.

"Wait a minute! What's with this unique thingy in the bracket? No, that's not important! Is that really the words 'God King'!?"

Just as Azrael was getting more and more confused, a blue portal appeared in front of him as he got sucked into it. He found himself in a huge palace hall. The walls were white in colour with countless mysterious patterns on it. On either side, there were numerous stone pillars that looked like they were supporting the entire sky.

As Azrael looked in front of him, he saw a long floating staircase that leads to a higher platform. Azrael lifted his head to look up. On the platform, he saw a figure sitting on a white throne with red cover. To be more detailed, the figure was that of a woman.

When Azrael looked at her, he felt his surroundings disappear. Right now, there was only her and him in this world. At the same time, there were no words to describe her beauty. At that instant, only one word revolved in his mind.

GOD.

The woman on the throne opened her eyes as her gaze fell on Azrael. She looked at him for a moment as a slight smile appeared on her breathtaking face. Finally she spoke.

"Little Guy, since it is but fate that brought you here, there is no need for me to conduct those meaningless trials. As I already know that you will pass and emerge victorious."

"So I, Caldia, the Ninth God King, hereby officially announce you, Azrael, as the inheritor of my legacy."

As she finished speaking, the woman, Caldia, took a deep breath as she closed her eyes as if a great burden has been lifted off her shoulders.

She once again opened her eyes as she spoke again. Just this time with a beautiful smile.

"Well, I don't want you to waste any more of your time here, so I will send you back."

After speaking, Caldia waved her hand as Azrael felt his consciousness fading. The only thing he remembered were Caldia's last words.

"Oh! Little Guy, I forgot to tell you that as a restriction of my legacy, you could only take females as your subordinates."
