38 Chapter 37: The Charm Class

About half-past eight, Albert's three roommates walked into the hall while holding their yawn.

"Good morning!" Lee sat next to Albert, stuffing a large sausage into his mouth while muttering: "I feel like my legs is about to break."

"Come on, don't be so dramatic!" Albert closed the "An Anthology of Nineteenth-Century Charms" and put it back in his backpack. He reached out and patted Lee on the shoulder, "You are just walked too much yesterday. Shall I take you to the school hospital and get you some medicine?"

"No no no... just forget it! My legs are cured now" Hearing that Albert wants to take him to the school hospital, Lee's mind became more awake, afraid that Albert would really take him there.

The twins who sat across Lee couldn't help but laugh. Fred, who was eating a golden fried egg, suggested: "I tell you... a few vigorous pats on the legs can greatly relieve the pain."

George went on to say: "I can help you, free of charge."

"Are you a monster!?" Lee stared at the twins dissatisfiedly and began to bury his head at breakfast.

"Stop joking around, eat quickly. The first class is about to begin, and I don't want us to be late on the first day of school." Albert reminded

While they were having a meal, a red-haired young man came over. He sat down beside the twins and asked with a smile, "So, how is your weekend? I bet it's fun."

"Charlie, the Quidditch team already start the morning practice?" George looked at his brother's outfit in disbelief.

"It's just a simple warm-up. After all, many haven't touched the broomstick in the summer." Charlie said naturally, "This year, I must win the Quidditch trophy."

Albert next to him could not help but shook his head straight when he heard the words, 'You are still too inexperienced, young man. Don't you know you have planted a flag?'

"By the way, Charlie, there is still a shortage of people in the team, right? Can we join the Quidditch team? George and I can be the Beaters. You know how good we are."

"Don't even think about it, you just entered the school, and you will not be able to join the Quidditch team until the second grade." Charlie said with a serious face, "If you can pass the trial next semester, I will allow you to join the team, but not this year."

"There are always special cases, aren't they?" The twins blinked at their second brother and continued, "As long as someone is talented in Quidditch, they can join the team in their first year."

"Nonsense! Where did you get that idea from!?" Charlie Weasley asked in irritation. Even if he is Captain Quidditch, he can't be too reckless. (T/N: Yeah you can't, but your Vice Headmistress can do that. Now that I think about it, by making Harry the new Seeker, Minerva just shows us that if you have a good enough reason, rules are meant to be broken and people might applaud you for breaking the rules. I mean just look at The End-of-Term Feast.)

After all, the Quidditch captain is responsible for the entire Gryffindor students, even if you lose the game, it can't be from his selfishness or he won't be able to lift his head in the school.

The twins suddenly looked at Albert together.

"Why are you staring at me?" Albert asked puzzledly.

Charlie followed the twins' eyes and looked at Albert, and then he was even more confused, having no idea what these two pranksters were planning.

"The Quidditch trial was over yesterday. You can wait until next year to try to join the team. This year, you can be the reserve Beaters, but don't get too much expectation." Charlie Weasley coughed slightly and muttered in his heart 'I'm not showing favor to my own brothers. No, I'm just training some talented first-years as the reserve players.'

In fact, Gryffindor's Beaters will graduate next year, so it's a good idea to train them in advance. Charlie is also very clear about the level of George and Fred, at least their basic is better than the others.

"Then we can also participate in training?" The excitement that poured from the twins' eyes could not be concealed.

"Today... this afternoon, you should be free, right?" Charlie thought about it, "This afternoon, meet me... at the Quidditch Stadium at 4:30, I will give you a test first, and you are not allowed to play any trick, understood?"

"Yeah, understood." The twins nodded together.

Before the class bell rang, Albert and the others hurriedly left the hall and headed to the Charm classroom on the fourth floor. Since they had already found the classroom two days in advance, the four of them easily found the Charm classroom this time.

Gryffindor's Charm class was attended along with Hufflepuff's students. When they entered the classroom, there were already quite a few students in it.

Shanna and Angelina also came early, and they were sitting at the table in the front row and chatting with other students.

The good seats in the front row of the classroom were all occupied. The four of them could only choose seats in the back row at will. Albert didn't care. He sat with Lee, and the Weasley twins sat next to them.

Professor Flitwick entered the classroom just as the bell start ringing. The figure of the Charm professor was indeed surprisingly small, and he should be part-goblin as rumored.

Because he was not tall enough, Flitwick had to stand on a stack of books to reach the desk during class, but no one laughed at this.

Of course, everyone is more or less curious about the professor's height.

Before the class started, Professor Flitwick took out the roster and began to roll call the students, which gave Albert a sense of quick roll-call during his college years.

In the first section of the Charm class, the professor showed everyone just how magical Charm can be.

He made several books on the table happily tap dance, and then jumped higher and higher, forming a row in front of the crowd, the dance followed a certain rhythm as if there was a piece of beautiful music guiding them.

When everyone's attention was attracted by the books dancing in the air, those books returned to their original state and fell back neatly to the desks in front of Professor Flitwick.

Warm applause immediately sounded, the students were all attracted by this magical scene, wishing to start learning the Charm right away.

"If you want to achieve this level, you have a lot of things to learn." Professor Flitwick said after the applause is finished. "Now, open the textbook and turn to the third page. It will help you better master and use spells in the future."

After this, Professor Flitwick mostly explain the theory of spellcasting, and after having the students jot down a lot of complicated and difficult notes, he also repeatedly emphasized the importance of the method of waving the wand and the correct pronunciation of the spell.

As Albert concentrated on taking notes, he felt Lee who sat next to him poked him a few times with his elbow.

"What's the matter?" Albert turned his head helplessly and asked in a low voice.

Lee pointed to the twins at the next table, who were pointing at Albert's quill.

Without them saying anything, Albert already knew what they meant.

Those two guys didn't bring quill pens to the class.

Albert put his quill on the table and whispered, "Geminio."

"By the way, give me one too." Lee said while embarrassedly scratching the back of his head.

"You didn't bring it either, why didn't you say it earlier."

Lee laughed a little and said, "I'm afraid to disturb you while you are taking notes. When you finish taking notes, please lend them to me."

It's not only Albert whose mouth twitched, even Angelina and Alia who sat in front of them looked at them with weird eyes.

Of course, Professor Flitwick on the podium also noticed them, but he didn't say anything. He continued explaining some of the Theories of Magic that were not in the book.
