My Stepbrother, the Vampire (BL)

When Lucien McNamara’s father remarries, he meets his new stepbrother Blaise Laurent. Blaise, the black sheep of his family, is promiscuous, conceited, and callous - but also magnetic, charismatic, and seductive. Lucien is immediately entranced by him. Blaise, after having a falling out with his uncle Raphael (an object of brooding and obsession for Blaise, and the only person who seems to actually get under his skin), must return to his family’s home to live. However, none of his family seems to want him there - especially his mother. Lucien takes pity and attempts to befriend and fix Blaise, but Blaise keeps trying to seduce Lucien. Lucien resists, knowing Blaise doesn’t love him, but continues to try to help him, and he finds himself more and more entangled with this enigmatic but frustrating being. Then Lucien makes a shocking discovery - Blaise is a vampire! Not only that, but he was turned by his own Uncle Raphael, an evil man with whom he has a very twisted relationship. Uncle Raphael wants Blaise to join the Vampire Nobility, but Blaise actually regrets being turned into a vampire. Lucien begins to see the cracks in Blaise’s callous exterior as slowly he begins to let Lucien into his heart. Can Lucien help Blaise find his way out of this dark world, or will he be dragged down with him?

Chapter 20: Dreams in the Night

Blaise untied Lucien's necktie and unbuttoned his shirt, sliding it off to reveal Lucien's tight white undershirt.

Lucien's heart pounded, a primal drumming of desire. Every nerve in his body tingled with anticipation. His breathing grew shallow as his body responded to the magnetic pull between him and Blaise. A part of him craved the forbidden, the raw and untamed. He wanted to touch Blaise all over, to taste his skin, to be inside him and dominate him. But he stayed very still instead, keeping his hands firmly planted on Blaise's hips. It was a battle to maintain his self-control.

Blaise wasn't making it easier. His hands caressed Lucien's bare arms, their touch sending pleasurable waves of electric energy through Lucien's body. Finding a suitable spot near Lucien's collarbone, Blaise pressed his sharp tooth against the skin, causing a momentary sting and coaxing forth a trickle of blood.

Hot and wet, Blaise's lips and tongue met the wound, eliciting a gasp from Lucien's lips. The warmth of his own blood welling up, blending with the heat of Blaise's mouth as he suckled, sent shivers down Lucien's spine.

As Blaise continued to draw Lucien's blood, an otherworldly calm settled over him, the racing of his heart subsiding into a steady rhythm. A warm, tingling sensation coursed through his veins, spreading its tendrils to every corner of his being. It was an odd sensation, one that defied logic and reason. It didn't really make sense that it felt so good. Lucien's mind swirled with questions, wondering if some enchantment had been cast upon him, or if this was the result of vampire venom coursing through his system.

His gaze shifted downward, his eyes fixated on Blaise. The once proud and arrogant countenance had given way to a vulnerable expression, as if the act of feeding had transformed him into a creature of raw need. Helpless, yet in control, like an infant at its mother's breast. Blaise's hungry lips and fervent gulps painted a picture of primal satisfaction. Soft sounds of delight escaped him.

What was happening? Why was he enjoying this? This had to be how vampires subdued their prey. Lucien's mind raced. He only had so much blood in his body to give! Yet he couldn't deny the warmth and tingling that enveloped his body. It felt too good, too intoxicating to resist. He didn't want to escape. That was the problem. Blaise could easily suck him completely dry, leaving him a dead husk.

Blaise was the one to pull away. His lips glistened red from his forbidden indulgence. A dribble of crimson blood ran down his chin.

Lucien's eyes fixated on the red stain, an emblem of their strange act.. What had they done?

Blaise pulled a handkerchief out of his pocket, and gently dabbed away the blood at his mouth. He then pressed it against Lucien's small wound to stop the bleeding.

Lucien straightened his posture, feeling a renewed sense of vitality. He gazed at Blaise, noting that his eyes already looked brighter, and a little color was coming back into his cheeks. But a lingering hunger in Blaise's eyes didn't escape his notice. "Have you had enough?" he asked.

Blaise's lips curved into a wry smile. "I drank the bare minimum," he replied. "But such is the life of a vampire, always hungry. It can't be helped."

In the dim light of the shed, Lucien's gaze fixed upon Blaise. Gradually, color returned to Blaise's lips and finger tips, which had been looking bloodless before, a visible sign of restoration. Lucien couldn't help but acknowledge the transformation before him. Blaise appeared healthier, rejuvenated, as if their unconventional encounter had breathed life back into him.

"Let's head back to the house," Lucien suggested at last, opening the shed's door. "We wouldn't want anyone to grow suspicious."

Blaise nodded in agreement, his eyes briefly scanning Lucien for any signs of discomfort. "Feeling light-headed?"

Lucien shook his head. "Just a little, nothing too bad."

Blaise gave a little shrug, a small smile forming on his lips. "I don't need to drink every day or anything like that. I can subsist on animal blood for a while. You have plenty of time to recover." The desperate, vulnerable side Blaise had shown while drinking his blood was buried, just like that, replaced by that vain little smile.

So, he intended to keep feeding off of Lucien. As long as Blaise continued to show the amount of restraint he did today, it wasn't a problem. In fact, the thought was tantalizing to Lucien.

"I'm glad to hear that. I think I'll have something to drink and a good dinner to replenish my blood."

"Thank you again," Blaise said sincerely, his gratitude palpable. Side by side, they walked along the path that led back to the house.

For the next few weeks, Lucien and Blaise slipped out to the shed once or twice a week, where Blaise could satisfy his need for blood.

Lucien couldn't help but admire Blaise's remarkable self-control during those encounters. Each time, Blaise exhibited restraint, ensuring he never drank too much. Lucien felt just fine afterward, with no adverse effects. It was almost as if the blood-letting had a positive impact on his own health, leaving him feeling revitalized.

Yet, despite the apparent benefits, Lucien found himself locked in a relentless struggle with temptation. The nights were plagued with restless dreams, his mind filled with vivid images of Blaise.

In his dreams, Lucien found himself drawn into Blaise's embrace, their bodies entwined in a passionate embrace. Every touch sent electric currents surging through his veins. They moved together, their movements fluid and synchronized, as if they were engaged in an intimate tango.

In the dreams, Blaise's eyes, hungry and full of longing, locked onto Lucien's with an intensity that made his heart race. Their lips brushed against each other in a tantalizing tease. Lucien felt the heat of Blaise's breath on his skin, the soft caress of his hands tracing the contours of his body.

Blaise's body exuded an otherworldly beauty, slender and pale and smooth in Lucien's . The contours of his form were a mesmerizing blend of strength and grace, drawing Lucien's gaze with an irresistible pull.

As the dream intensified, beads of sweat glistened on Blaise's forehead, his skin flushed with a rosy hue. His hair, usually perfectly styled, now fell in disheveled waves. Lucien could feel the heat emanating from Blaise's body.

Blaise's face, usually adorned with an air of aloofness, now reflected a thirst that matched Lucien's own desires. His eyes burned with a feral intensity, dark and filled with an all-consuming passion. The contours of his lips, soft and inviting, curled into a seductive smile that promised both pleasure and danger.

As their bodies moved in harmony, Lucien could feel the strength and power radiating from Blaise. Each touch, each caress, felt almost as if it were actually happening.

The dream unfolded in a haze of desire and forbidden pleasure. Each moment was etched into Lucien's mind, imprinted with an intensity that lingered long after he woke.

The intensity of his desires grew each time Blaise met him in the shed to drink his blood. It was threatening to overpower his will. How much longer could Lucien withstand the mounting pressure before he succumbed to the overwhelming pull of his own desires?
