CHAPTER 40
Elena and Alden has arrived at Sean's house early in the morning. Actually, she rearranged her schedule to meet Katelyn as soon as they arrived home after receiving his call yesterday. She was going to check on Katelyn first before heading to the hospital as she was worried about Katelyn health issue while Alden had something to discuss with Sean before heading to his office. Therefore, Alden picked up his girl friend and they headed to Sean's House as early as possible.
Aunt Jen welcomed them to sit on the sofa and asked them what they wanted to drink while they were waiting for the couple coming out of their room. Elena chose a cup of warm jasmine tea while Alden asked a cup of black coffee with no sugar to start the day. They were sipping the drink Aunt Jen had brought for them when Sean and Katelyn approached, holding hands.
Sean invited them to breakfast at the dining table. They followed Sean and Katelyn to the dining room because they hadn't had any breakfast yet, other than the drinks from aunt Jen. Elena attempted to obtain information about what had recently occurred from the married couple in front of her while eating breakfast.
She has asked Sean about Katelyn activity recently and occasionally asks Katelyn how she is feeling lately after hearing Sean's response. Elena would occasionally interrupt their story to learn more about it. Sean drove Alden to the workspace after they finished their breakfast for some business discussion. While Katelyn and Elena were still eating breakfast and chatting casually.
Sean and Alden returned to the dining table shortly after leaving. They have already solved their problems. Elena has finished her meal, whereas Katelyn has not yet finished hers. Sean sat next to Katelyn and patiently waited for her to finish her meal. After his wife finished her breakfast, he cleaned the remaining food from the corners of her lips.
Except for Alden, who remained in the living room, they all went into the bedroom. Sean was perplexed to see Elena smiling while checking on Katelyn, but he restrained himself from asking and consoled himself by thinking that a smile meant Katelyn was fine. He didn't want to bother Elena concentration, who was still checking on his wife. He was waiting for her to finish. Elena, on the other hand, remained silent and simply told Sean to take Katelyn to the hospital where she worked to double-check something.
"I didn't find anything unusual about Katelyn health issues" according to her. " Don't be concerned; I believe she is fine." However, it is preferable if she gets enough rest and sleep. Also, keep an eye on her nutrition. "Don't let her get stressed out, either," she continued. " I just need to put something to the test." But don't worry, believe me, it's good news," she concluded.
Elena will make an appointment this afternoon with another doctor she recommends. After making a phone call, the couple left Sean's house. After seeing them off, Sean returned to the room and discovered Katelyn dozing off while waiting for her husband to return. He approached his wife and put her at ease before heading to the workspace next door to work on some business matters.
Katelyn felt as if she had just fallen asleep. She felt compelled to put on the red lingerie Rachel had given her in front of Sean. After a brief moment of searching for the object, she eagerly put it on and waited for Sean on her bed, hoping he would arrive soon. However, five minutes, ten minutes, and fifteen minutes had passed with no sign of Sean entering the room.
She grabbed her phone and dialed Sean's number, but he was on another call. She tried several times, but it never connected. Katelyn waited another few minutes for him to return, but he never did. So she opened her door and examined the left and right sides. She discovered that there are no people in the area. She dashed to Sean's office, terrified that someone would notice her in her lingerie. Because she was in a hurry to get into the room, she accidentally opened and smashed the door.
