Chapter 1: Fragments of his shadow

As dawn has come about, light showers were pouring, droplets of rain tapping along the train window, as it made a subtle tick on the train glass making a calm and pleasing sound. As Haru was heading back home, he was dwelling and ruminating about his past, having thoughts of his deceased father, who died in an accident when Haru was young. As he was sitting in the back seat of his father car, going to buy takeout, the roads were fogged heavily that even light couldn't get through, as he sped through the red light, a car came crashing, hitting the front-rear of his car, shatters of glass was seen in his arms and body, as the crash was so severe his father was about to die, his father smiled on and told him to find that Sparkle of Light that will illuminate your life, as those were his final words.

Ruminating away, Haru led out a loud sigh, as he took his eyes off the window and glanced around, he saw a happy couple kissing and embracing across his seat, his thoughts than shifted to his crush, he looked down at his feet, let out a smirk, knowing that he had been blinded by love, flushing poison down his throat, thinking that it was an antidote, every harsh thing that his crush did, he could turn it into a smile, being used and abused. He kept his sorrows in his deep in his heart, not allowing himself or to lean against his family as he knew that he could not speak of it. Shy and timid as he is, he wiped his tears in the middle of the cold night. as he reached his destination, he got out of his seat, leaving a melancholy look on his face, while walking towards the exit.

A slight breeze gushes out as he steps out of the station, holding onto his scarf as he looks around, street lights shine throughout the town, gleaming lights reflected on puddles of water along the starry streets, as he gazes towards the star, tears started to flow, flows along his cheeks, as the feeling of sadness started rushing in, he quickly brushes off his tears with his scarf and took a detour off home, he walks down the dimly lit street, walking aimlessly and not knowing what to do, trying to keep himself from giving into despair. Soon after, he then stumbles upon an old lady who tends an old woody ramen cart, she was wised, one glance at Haru face, she instantly knew that he was troubled, she gave off a warm and gleaming smile, telling him it's alright, don't worry, she sat him down at her cart and gave a glass of water and a warm and hearty bowl of ramen, he glanced up towards the lady, with a pitiful look on his face, she smiled and said "eat up you're doing the best you can". His eyes started to grew red, he gobbles up his food, as he led out a huge sig, wipes his mouth with the back of his hand, gloomy yet down, he gave a muffled thanks, he then showed two on his finger, and ask for takeaways, she nodded and smile, as he slowly drags his feet out of the seat and slowly walked away, the old lady said "Find the Light that shines within you" and "Come again, I'll be here anytime".
