The Transformation of an Ugly Woman

Hilton Villa was the unrivaled private manor, second to none in Ipudo City.

The manor was very well-equipped with all imaginable infrastructure.

It even had a private runway for planes.

There was a private airplane in the manor, and one could fly anywhere they desired.

The manor was guarded by soldiers with loaded guns.

According to hearsay, Hilton Villa was actually a secret base.

In fact, the manor was a national gift for Jack when he was crowned a marshal.

Lily was dumbstruck when she saw the manor.

She might be a crippled woman, but she was not an idiot.

Hilton Villa was the most mysterious manor in Ipudo City.

No one in Ipudo City had ever entered the manor.

But now, her husband, whom she had just met, was bringing her into the manor!

Most men would not take their wives' last names if they were real men.

However, Jack had surrendered his last name to marry a paralyzed, ugly woman.

He clearly did not look like a vain person who refused to strive to progress in his life.

Therefore, she had been pretty sure that he did not come after her but her family's wealth.

However, now, he took her to Hilton Villa.

At that moment, she felt like she was in a dream.

"Could you take off your veil now?"

Jack squatted and spoke softly to her.

"No…"

Before Lily finished speaking, Jack had already removed her veil.

And he was greeted by the sight of Lily's exquisite features and fair skin.

If not for the large red birthmark on the left side of her face, she would be a very beautiful woman.

Lily looked down anxiously. Her face had turned as red as an apple.

Lily held Jack's hand excitedly.

Despite this day being an important occasion for her, her parents had left as soon as they dropped her at the hotel. They no longer bothered about her. 

Ten years ago, before she became paralyzed, her parents had treated her slightly better.

She was aggrieved when she recalled saving the person who had fled straight away without giving her even a single glance.

"Don't worry. Trust me, I could cure you."

Jack spoke softly, "However, your legs have atrophied and require medication and acupuncture. Therefore, you have to take off your clothes…"

"But I…"

Lily's face flushed. Although she could not feel her lower body, she was a woman. 

Even though the person before her was her husband, they had just met each other for the first time. 

"You don't have to feel shy showing your paralyzed body to me. I'm a doctor, and you're a patient."

Jack was aware of Lily's concern.

"O-Okay…"

Lily's face had turned red as she spoke softly, "But.. I couldn't take it off myself…"

"It's okay. I'll help you."

Jack then carried Lily to the bed and took off her clothes with care.

Jack felt so heartbroken as if his heart had been slashed by a dagger when he saw Lily's shrunken legs.

"Lily, I'm sorry that you've been suffering for so long. I'll take good care of you from now on."

Jack's eyes had turned red.

If Lily had not saved him from the beginning, she would still be able to move around with her legs, instead of being stuck sitting in a wheelchair for a decade.

"Okay."

Lily's face had turned so red that she could not bear looking at Jack.

Jack personally administered the medication. Each ingredient was exorbitantly priced. Even so, he was not at all distressed.

After he finished administering the medicine, he went on to perform acupuncture on her.

Jack sweated profusely after half an hour.

Lily, on the other hand, had fallen asleep.

Lily's face and her lower body had been wrapped in plaster cloth, revealing her eyes and mouth only.

Jack quietly walked out of the room and closed the door.

"Jack."

"Go and investigate the four greatest families' situation in the next few days. Leave no stone unturned for the perpetrators involved in Farrell's massacre. Also, seek out the driver who had hit Lily back then!"

Jack's expression was as cold as ice. His revenge had just begun!

"Jack, why do you have to go through so much trouble? You could easily exterminate the four petty families simply by giving orders."

Bosco wondered why Jack had to go through so much trouble to avenge his family. 

"The treatment for enemies on the battlefield and enemies who had killed your family is different. Anyway, you wouldn't understand how it feels. After you finish investigating the matter, go back to Eastern Region."

Jack shook his head. Despite the fact that he was capable of exterminating the four greatest families on his own, he did not want to give them such an easy way out.

"Jack, are you kicking me out?"

Bosco widened his eyes.

"You're different from me. You could contribute a lot to the army. A man like you is needed to safeguard the border."

Jack did not want to jeopardize his good buddy's future because of his own quest for vengeance.

"You're my sworn brother for life. I'll be with you whenever you are. Besides, the border is extremely secure, and no one would dare to trespass it. Ivan and the rest of the group are there. So, there wouldn't be much concern about it. Let me stay with you!"

Bosco's eyes had turned red, and his gaze was firm.

"Fine. Let's do it, then."

Jack breathed a sigh. He knew that it was impossible to drive Bosco away.

"Haha! That's the way!"

Bosco gave a boyish smile before leaving.

"Look at this kid!"

Jack smiled in resignation. After that, he took his shower.

He accompanied Lily in the following days.

As such, Lily grew increasingly fond of him.

Although she had never dated a man, she was convinced that at that moment, she had fallen in love!

Jack was very gentle to her. He helped her to change the medicine and massage her legs daily. He took meticulous care of her. 

No woman on Earth could resist such a man, especially a paralyzed, ugly woman. 

"Come, try to stand up. Trust in yourself, you could do it."

Jack cheered for Lily while she did her rehabilitation training.

She was able to walk by supporting herself with the railing.

She had been paralyzed for a long time. Therefore, she had to learn to walk all over again like a baby.

"Okay!"

Lily nodded. She tried to stand up by holding on to the wheelchair.

Although a bit shaky, she was able to stand firmly.

She then slowly walked forward to Jack.

"Sob…"

Lily threw herself into Jack's arms. She grew so excited that she burst into tears.

She could finally stand up and walk!

"It's okay, you'll be able to walk normally after two days of therapy. If you keep crying, the medicine on your face would lose its effectiveness."

Jack patted Lily gently. 

Lily stopped crying as soon as she heard the word "lose its effectiveness".

"I'm just teasing you. Come, let me help you unwrap the plaster cloth."

Jack smiled faintly before unwrapping the plaster cloth. 

As he slowly unwrapped the plaster cloth on her face, he was greeted by the sight of an exquisitely beautiful face.

At that moment, Jack was dumbfounded.

"How is it? Is it cured?"

Lily was so nervous that she did not even dare to open her eyes.

"It's only a small issue. Go and look for yourself."

Jack heaved a sigh.

"It's okay. I'm happy so long I'm able to walk. You wouldn't despise me, would you?"

Lily was a little disappointed. But, she was more concerned about Jack's opinion of her.

"Silly girl, why would I despise you? You're my wife, now and forever. Look at yourself in the mirror first."

Jack stroked Lily's head.

Lily sucked in a deep breath and slowly opened her eyes.
