Chapter IX

On a rainy morning Romina communicates with her sister Celinda, to find out how she is in health, from there they develop a dialogue, where Celinda states that her daughter is graduating and the university agreed that the graduates will receive the title as secretary, with the purpose of maintaining the biosecurity measures established by the Covid 19 pandemic.

Celinda states that for several consecutive years she has not been able to celebrate her daughter's birthday and that this time she wants to try as much as possible to reunite and share Laura's graduation as a family, since she continued studying until she achieved the title of biomedical engineer. It has cost him a lot, however, he finally sees his dream materialized. With effort and perseverance, he has been able to overcome all the adversities that have arisen. This fact is undoubtedly something to be celebrated and admired, since despite all the limitations present, Laura is the living example that whoever wants to can ... and that goals are achieved with constant effort.

Within this vein, Celinda refers to her sister Romina that Álvaro has greatly improved his health condition, since his son born in his first marriage sends him money from abroad and has improved his anxiety and depression problems. Among the medications he consumes, there is a food supplement that costs $ 25 that with the salary he earns he would never be able to buy it, for that reason he thanks his son for the financial contribution he gives him. This type of product at the price of Venezuelan currency is very expensive, and the salary of a retired teacher is equivalent to $ 2.5. There have been heavy rains, for this reason he stays at home without going out, since it is not convenient for him to get wet due to his health.

The heart of Venezuelans is hardened on many occasions, due to the difficult circumstances they have to face. From all this, the emergence of two types of men in Venezuelan society emerges; that is, a man who fights and overcomes difficulties until he achieves his objectives and the other who becomes demoralized and feels weak in the face of difficulties and who unfortunately ends up settling for the crumbs that the corrupt government of Nicolás Maduro gives away.

Venezuela is a beautiful country and although it seems selfish, everyone has the right to seek their well-being and personal improvement. Young people prepare and study with the desire to become professionals with the capacity to generate their own income, but this represents an act too difficult to achieve in Venezuela. In the case when they do not have enough support from their family or their closest environment. However, when it comes to the help that can be had from the environment, it is due more than anything to the economic. Of course, in many cases, there are families that do not have the resources to help their children and for that reason they have no choice but to seek opportunities in another country.

One of the most important components is aimed at reinventing themselves in the case when people do not want to leave the country and do not want to belong to that group of conformist people. In this sense, we must always think about preparing ourselves academically, since training is the basis of a good investment, capable of generating satisfactory income, even if the title acquired is not related to what you decide to do next.

There is also the other group of people who feel that they must settle for what little the government can give them.

The analysis from the reality they live shows that Venezuela presents a very critical situation and that people have had to manage to overcome all kinds of difficulties.
