Kang Sooyeon(Kim Kiyeon) 20

Born to a soldier and a maid of the castle she was very loved and cared for as a baby, even though her mother died during childbirth. Her father was unable to care for her as he was a general in the kingdom's army. His passed wife happened to be friends with the queen and asked if anything happened to him, that she would raise his daughter as her own. The queen, with a young son of her own, who happened to be born the same day as young kiyeon gladly accepted. After her father died in a battle, the girl was raised by the queen and a resentful king. They officially adopted her when she turned three years old and the king renamed her Kang Sooyeon. Growing up Sooyeon always loved to adventure and explore with her new brothers. Princes Yeosang and Taehyun. Yeosang being her supposed twin, and Taehyun a few years younger. She has a bright fire in her soul and always got into trouble. She knew the king disliked her and never knew why until the queen told her about her past. From then on her siblings called her Kiyeon when they weren’t around their father. She and Yeosang were inseparable and did everything together. He would teach her about the stars and at night he would teach her to fight. When he left she was devastated and always kept an amulet with her. One day the amulet started to flicker and she knew she had to find her twin. She said goodbye to her younger brother before sneaking out of the castle.

Kang Yeosang- navigator 20

Born the same day as his adopted twin he was loved by all. A prodigy at swordsmanship as he was being groomed to become king one day. He never enjoyed fighting. His passion was astrology and maps. He always wanted to explore the world and never wanted to be king. His wish to not become king came true. While on a horse ride for training his group was attacked and he was badly injured. Unable to fight any longer the king made the decision to have Taehyun one day become king. Yeosang was grateful and threw himself into his study of maps and the stars. However he wasn’t allowed to leave the castle like his sister. At 17 years old he decided to run away from home to live a new life. Before he left he had found a pair of magical amulets. He gave one to his sister and told her that as long as the stone inside was glowing he was alive. However, if it flickered he was in trouble. Both amulets have these powers so no matter where they were, the twins would feel together. He promised his siblings he would write every month, but one day after a year of being free he stopped.

Kim Hongjoong- Captain 22

Born on the sea Hongjoong has always loved adventure and open ocean. His past is heartbreaking to say the least as he is the sole survivor of a shipwreck. At 16 he and his family were sailing and got caught in a large storm. He ended up washed up on an island, scared, alone, and heartbroken. He was trapped for months, surviving quite well on his own. He refined his fighting as he had to fight many wild animals. One day, a few months before his 17th birthday a ship stopped at the island. The captain found the young pirate and took him aboard. Hongjoong quickly rose in ranks and by 18 he had become the captain's first mate. By this time he has gained many close friends such as Seonghwa(the medic), San(the cook and carpenter), and jongho, the youngest member of the crew at Only 15. After a fight with another ship the captain was severely injured and Hongjoong had no choice to step up and take charge of the Treasure(ship name). After the captain's death Hongjoong had officially become captain. Over the years others have joined and their ship has become feared by pirates and the kingdoms, who call Hong Joong the pirate king. His most recent officer is known as Kang Yeosang. The ship's new navigator.

Park Seonghwa- surgeon 22

The oldest officer on the TREASURE Seonghwa was the first medic on the treasure. Born in a small town he was always working with his older brother in their families store. Until one day at 17 a disease started to spread throughout the town, killing many. The people turned to Seonghwas family as they were known as medics. Unfortunately Seonghwa’s parents both were affected by this disease and it was left to him and his brother to treat the town. At this time Seonghwa was learning magic and sorcery, both he incorporated into his healing methods. The village was saved and Seonghwa was approached by the former captain of the TREASURE. He told the 17 year old they were in need of a medic and told Seonghwa that he would be paid well. Not wanting to leave his family he declined at first but his parents convinced him to go. He set out just before his 18th birthday and quickly became the ship's most respected officer as he was not only their healer but also a sorcerer.

Jeong Yunho- master Rigger 21

Born into a wealthy family with his father a member of the Royal Navy he learned a lot about ships at a young age. He was always longing to go out onto sea but his parents would never allow him as they didn’t think that he would be able to handle the cruelty of sea life. At night he would sneak out to his father's private ship and practice with the sails and tying knots. At 17 he got a chance to join his father on the open sea and he loved almost every second of it. But the conditions were rough especially to the younger members of the crew. The navy was not as luxurious as he had expected, the officers getting drunk every night, the captain and quartermaster throwing out punishments for small things. He quickly grew to hate the ship and jumped at the first chance he got. A pirate ship has boarded while the officers were drunk and passed out. He approached the young captain and asked to go with him. The short captain asked why. Yunho said he loved the sea but hated the navy and that he was a good rigger. After some thought, the captain agreed and within a few months yunho had proven himself to be a master rigger. He had sent a letter back to his family saying that he wouldn’t be going back.

Choi San- cook and carpenter 20

Born to the head chef of the Park royal family, San was working in kitchens at a young age. He loved cooking and was making fine dishes for the royal family as a teenager. In his spare time he would work out and help the carpenters fix holes in the stables. The royal family recognized his talents and asked if he would want to be a cook on a navy ship. He quickly agreed as the sea has always interested him. Once aboard the ship he realized he made a mistake. The officers were cruel and treated everyone as a slave. San was not allowed to leave the ship and was confined to the kitchen most of the time. One night a large storm hit the ship and he ran out from the kitchen in a panic, overhearing that there was an old hole in the ship that had reopened. The crew and officers quickly abandoned the ship as they didn’t have a carpenter with them and left San alone. The then 15 year old was terrified as the storm continued to crash into the ship. Somehow he managed to tie the sails up and headed towards the leak. With his limited experience he managed to patch up the whole, quickly saving himself. Not knowing how to pilot or navigate a ship he was a drift for many weeks, a lot of the food had spoiled and he was on the brink of starvation when a pirate ship approached. The ship was quickly boarded and raided. San was scared but relieved at the same time. He begged the old captain to give him a place on the ship. After hearing Sans' story the captain agreed and he became the ship's new cook and master carpenter after much practice.

Song Mingi- first mate 20

Born on the streets Mingi was always a trouble maker. He stole, got into fights but never got caught. At 16 he joined the crew of the pirate ship Moon. On the ship he rose in ranks to the master gunner. He would oversee the training of the crew and learned responsibility and to be kinder to others. However, due to a dispute Mingi was severely punished. He never talks about why the fight happened, all that anyone knows is that he killed a fellow crew member. Not wanting to kill his friend, Captain Ravn Instead told Mingi to take a long boat and never return to the Moon. Regretfully Mingi left with some food and never went back. After weeks alone at sea he saw a ship in the distance. The feared TREASURE. He was scared as they approached him but the crew was surprisingly kind. He met the young Captain Hongjoong who accepted him. He asked why Mingi was alone and he lied, saying that he was escaping another ship. Hongjoong had asked what skills the taller boy held and Mingi said that he was a gunner. The captain had him as a gunner but on the treasure Mingi quickly gained a larger sense of responsibility and Hongjoong promoted him to first mate.

Jung Wooyoung- master gunner 20

One of the younger officers of the TREASURE he has the most tragic backstory. He lived in a crappy kingdom. There was never any food or money. Sicknesses came and went, always killing many. At 13 Wooyoung lost his family to a bandit raid and was taken prisoner. The boy was used to blow off steam. He was beaten and abused by the bandits. Only one seemed to have a heart and one day left, taking Wooyoung with him. He taught Wooyoung to use a gun as they traveled. They fought, stole, and did everything together. The former bandit became an older brother to the now 16 year old. Until one day the group of bandits had found them. They once again took Wooyoung as prisoner and killed the one who helped him. Wooyoung then shut off his emotions. He vowed to never get close to anyone again and to not let his emotions show. He was with the bandits for 3 more years until he couldn’t take it anymore. He stole a gun and killed a member of the group in their sleep, escaping on a long boat with several injuries. He floated into the sea for days with no food, no water, and a growing infection. The 19 year old was on the brink of death when a pirate ship rescued him. He was healed by their medic Seonghwa who he grew a bond with, This new hyung reminded him of the one who saved him before.He also was able to come out of his shell due to the kindness and laughter of the cook, San. It took a long time for him to trust the rest of the crew but Hongjoong learned of the boy's skills and made him the master gunner. It was the first time in 3 years that he truly smiles and felt like he belonged and had a family again.

Choi Jongho- quartermaster 19

The youngest officer on the treasure he joined the crew at the young age of 13. He was strong, strong willed, and hard headed. He always acts older than his age and was the one who showed the new members of the ship around. He quickly became friends with Hongjoong, Seonghwa and San. After the death of the captain he always noticed that Hongjoong was stressed beyond stress. He took it around himself to lead the crew when Hongjoong was busy in his room or sleeping. The other officers were impressed with the now 16 year old and talked to the captain about promoting jongho. Jongho became the youngest quartermaster at only 16. Over the years he lightened up and was able to have fun with his friends and the rest of the crew but was able to stay responsible. As quartermaster it was his job to give out punishments and oversee the crew's training. He put them on a strict workout schedule so they could stay fit. He was jealous when Mingi had become first mate but quickly accepted it and the two became close friends.
