Part 14

Days passed, Yurena continued her painting and planned to take it to the art gallery to sell. This is also what she thought would be the ticket to get close to businessmen including Mao Ferragamo. She remembered the man's physical appearance very well.

When the painting was finished, Kaikane was surprised because she did a good job for a first timer. She didn't know that Yurena had a hidden talent in painting. The color combination used in the mermaid's tail was extraordinary because it glows every time the light hits it. Yurena is really impressive, no wonder why she was sent on such a heavy mission.

Yurena's painting is unique, it will surely attract the attention of rich businessmen who are looking for something different. And hopefully it will also get the attention of Mao Ferragamo.

"Aunt, look at this, while I was walking back home, I saw a car stopped on the road and threw these things in the garbage," Yurena said excitedly. She placed the plastic in front of Kaikane and opened it.

It contains clothes and shoes. They are still in good condition, just a little washing would be good.

Kaikane laughed. "Yurena, that's how it is here. Those rich people just throw away the clothes they don't use anymore. So that others can get them and make more use of them. Don't worry, I'll clean them for you to wear."

Kaikane was happy in those moments. Yurena is truly exceptional. She has only been here on the high ground for a few days but she has easily learned the ways of living. She also knows how to talk to people around her like a real and normal person. She knows how to react well and to give good gestures.

ONE MONTH LATER

Yurena's painting was successfully displayed at Synergy Art Gallery, one of the largest art galleries in the entire city.

Her painting was one of those selected to be displayed in the fantasy category along with other artworks with designs of fairies, monsters, unicorns, vampires and others.

Yurena went to the exhibit wearing the strange combination of clothes she picked up from the garbage. She doesn't know anything about fashion so even if her dress is weird, it's okay with her. She also did not know that the shoes were worn in pairs. So, what she took were two different colored shoes and they didn't match.

Now, Yurena is wearing a weird dress that doesn't match the color combination. And she was also wearing mismatched shoes with different style and color. But the good thing is that she carries herself very well like a fashion model.

When she arrived inside the art gallery, she immediately looked for Mao Ferragamo. Probably the man she was looking for is here because she already saw his name on the VIP guest. And because she painted one of the exhibits, she can easily approach every single businessman to market her artwork.

At that moment, Mao Ferragamo was already inside the building and he was starting to look at paintings for his new design office.

The man is looking for a unique painting, an artwork that has a message to convey. And among the hundreds of paintings around him, an artwork with a weird and unique style caught his attention.

This is Yurena's painting as if calling him and inviting him to come closer.

"Come... look at me," was the voice he heard while looking at Yurena's painting.

The man came to his senses. He immediately approached the painting and looked at it. He also touched the tail of the mermaid in the painting because it was glowing every time the light hit it. There are many well executed fantasy themed paintings around but this one is the weirdest of all.

At that moment, Yurena was just looking at him. The girl managed to get the attention of the billionaire.

She took a deep breath and decided to approach Mao while staring at her painting.

"Hi, do you believe in mermaids?" she asked while smiling.

Mao looked at her.

"Do I know you?" Mao asked her.

This was the first time the two of them had met. Little did they know that in those moments the course of their lives had begun to change.
