Running wild

Waking up the following morning I wasn't too sure if what had unfolded yesterday actually happened or if I just had the most realistic dream, I could no longer differentiate my imaginations from reality, a surreal moment that felt too good to be true.

On my way to grab some snacks at the Cafeteria, I thought I might as well search for Asami, maybe she wouldn't mind grabbing something to eat, together (definitely not a date).

And just I expected she was roaming around the Hallway as ecstatic as ever, emitting an aura of joy.

"Hey Asami!" I shouted from the opposite end of the hallway, unaware of how much attention I attracted.

She swiftly turns around in confusion, as she sees me I could see her face lighten up, "Hey" she replied, whilst hopping from side to side heading towards me. "I was looking for you, where were you?" She asked.

"I was looking for you too, I was wondering if you would like to grab lunch together from the Cafeteria" I implied nervously with a soft tone.

"Ouhh is this a date? is Sota asking me out on a date?" She implied in a jokingly manner.

I quickly insisted although there is no better way to picture it.

"Sure sounds like it" she stated, swaying her upper body from left to right whilst keeping her arms crossed behind her back.

"Anyways I had a better Idea" she continued, "why don't we go get some Ice cream? I heard that there is a good spot 15 minutes from here".

I had already figured that Asami was an untamed lioness; although I would've never thought that she would go to this extend to appease her desires.

"Are you serious right now?", "There is no way we are leaving the hospital unseen" I implied.

"Come on, it will be fun, when was the last time you left the Hospital? She asked rhetorically, "Wouldn't you do it for me?" she murmured, while continuously fluttering her eyelashes.

She is clearly trying to guilt me into going; does she really think that such a cheap trick would work on me?

Obviously it did.

After laying out her absurd plan which involved me dressing up as nurse, yes you heard me right, a NURSE, it was time to implement our so called "plan"

"Could this be any tighter?" I was questioning my life decisions as I was forcing on this pink one piece nurse scrub; I was a cookie away from ripping through it.

"It was the only clean scrub I could find in the laundry room" she stated before walking out of the Staffs only dressing room.

"Sota in a Nurse's scrub, I would have never visualized." Asami implied before erupting into laughter, this was the first I saw her laughing this hard and somehow she looked prettier than ever, the more I analysed her facial features, the more I got convinced that she was flawless, a true embodiment of perfection.

The plan worked, we walked directly through the hospital gate exiting without being questioned or stopped. The feeling of freedom overflowed my body.

(20 minutes later)

"Mmm, I haven't had Ice cream in over a year it tastes so good" she declared with excitement.

"Oh" I uttered, "wait how long have you been in the hospital?" I blurted out, I was shocked, was she admitted to the hospital before me?!

"Hmm, I think a little over 2 weeks, why?"She responded.

"um, never mind just wanted to know", I was relieved, I let out a small sigh knowing that she has not been in the hospital for long, it was something that was bothering me for a while; I didn't know why she was admitted to the hospital but I was definitely not trying to stir the conversation in that direction. I didn't want Asami to worry about me.

Before going back to the hospital, Asami insisted on going for a bicycle ride, we rented a twin bicycle for about half an hour and rode through the sunset, from the scenery to her holding me tight it was another magical night.

"I'm so happy that I met you" she said in a gentle and relaxing tone as we were holding hands heading back to the hospital.

"Me too" I whispered quietly, I was facing forward trying to play it cool, but I still caught a glimpse of her looking at me and letting out a comfortable smile.

"I found them!" is what I suddenly heard as we were just a junction away from the hospital; I could make out the image of the security as we were getting blinded by their torch lights.

We got caught.
