Hi! I'm Janet Friola, 22, and I'm currently being dragged to the emergency ward on a stretcher. My car breaks failed and I realised it while I was attempting to make a right turn.

Thankfully, no one got hurt, except me hitting a pole hard and banging my head on the steering wheel. After that the only thing I remember is that I saw blood on my palm as I touched my forehead and then the world turned black.

I only regained consciousness when they were lifting me up on the stretcher. Unable to move any part of my body, I relied on the people carrying my blood-stained body and laying me down on the wheeled bed.

I could merely hear the doctors in the ward discussing and preparing for a surgery before the large lights above the operating table came on and I passed out again.

It was a big hall and everyone around me was crying and sobbing. I couldn't understand why. The place was crowded and as I tried to weave through the crowd , I realised that I was little.

I fell on the floor and scraped my palms and knees. I was about to cry when two big hands picked me up from behind and held me against his chest. It was my Dad.

I stare at my Dad not knowing whether to cry or not and then turn back to the direction where the kneeling people were facing towards. That's when I notice a big frame which held my Mom's picture, smiling and youthful. No one could've guessed that she was already 39.

I look at Dad and pointing at Mom's picture I ask, "Dad, why is everyone crying while looking at Mom's photo? And where is Mom? Hasn't she come back from the hospital yet?"
